Did the box score have Rosario at 3rd?
Evans has been absolutely awful so far this season. .619 OPS (despite being in LV) with 3 errors in 11 games. Reyes has been pathetic so it would more about how bad Reyes has been.
Did the box score have Rosario at 3rd?
Rosario played 3rd (as has been the plan all along) 1 out of every 10 or so games he and Cecchini play their "second" positions. Carig said the Mets currently have no plans to call up Rosario. He won't be up until after super 2. They also don't want to call up a guy who isn't exactly "dominating" with the expectations being so high. They don't want to put that pressure on him (and yeah Super two is an issue as well)
"While a team wanting to hold onto a top prospect is by no measure a shocking development, the means by which they plan to use the shortstop is a bit curious. Alderson states that Rosario will receive some time at third base in the minor leagues. The plan is to move him around so that he can contribute to the New York Mets at more than just the shortstop position. Alderson does note that such a transition could possibly be temporary."
Reyes really needs a DL stint or something and to be shipped to St Lucie for rehab.
He looks completely lost and he's not old enough to have fallen off the cliff this badly, at least I don't think. I figured his hamstrings would be his downfall not just old age.
Stating the very obvious, but we really need to win this afternoon with Scherzer looming tomorrow.
deGrom > Gonzalez as long as his neck is fine.
