Yesterday, I talked about the Giants interest in Engram in Round Two, but in the teleconference meeting last evening, it appears that Sean Payton might have other ideas with pick #32. It is a consensus that the choice will end up in New England for Butler, but Payton seems to be switching gears, with McCaffrey as the wild card. If the Stanford ball carrier somehow slides to #11, the Saints will pounce on him. If not, NO will go for the best available corner, with Conley getting the top spot on their board, followed by Lattimore & overrated Humphrey. If they take the CB at #11, the draft day trade for Butler will likely be just talk, leaving the Saints in desperate need for somebody to catch Brees'passes & Payton has already made two trips to Ole Miss & its not for the gumbo.
Adams is a solid guy to groom. Sounds like he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and I know he has trouble at SC with schemes/putting in the mental reps. But I think he has solid blocking ability and effort but as a receiver, eh. He can be covered by LBs and DBs alike.
So considering I think thats what NYG also has in Tye/Ellison, Njoku and Engram fit in well to compliment the current group.
Rare size and ball skills/combo. Such a major jump in competition but it worked out OK for Kevin Boss. Although Boss was a better athlete and blocker coming in.
I don't want to call him baby Gronk, but I see why people say it.
It's probably too much trouble and time-consuming but I would love to hear what you're hearing on every single pick in the first round.
Sy is no fan of mocks as well
Got it - thanks Dave!
