If 2017 draft is like the 2016 draft......

The Giants will I have best roster to they have had in years!

2016 draft was such a bonaza ....netting us 5 starters

Apple.....A long term answer at corner.

Shepard.....A super slot receiver.

Thompson....A promising FS that is favored to start.

Goodson...... Potentially a future defensive captain at MLB

Perkins......Starting tailback.

And

Adams...... Currently the most talented TE on roster.

Plus a decent grouping of UDFA as well.

If Reese can replicate the success this year....We will be the team to beat in the NFC.

I am so ready for this draft to start.

Going to happen with 2016 class? Apple looked promising but also struggled for a stretch. Shepp looked good. Thompson was injured after what? Week 3? That was also his issue in college. Goodson didnt start a single game and you are annointing him a future captain? Adams started playing late but finished the year with 16 receptions.

I dont mean to be rude and like to be optimistic, but this post is fairly wild.

but I'm gonna disagree with your comments on Thompson and Goodson. They have a ton to prove before thinking they can be promising starters or future captains. They need to get on the damn field and make some plays first... and stay healthy. And Perkins looks damn good but he needs to show that he can handle the load over the course of the entire season.

Shepard, Perkins and both of the Adamses. Another year like that and we'd be a very deep team. But I remember several years where we lose everyone at a particular position. Last year was no exception, with all our FSs going down. And there have been years where we lost all of our Centers. So health is always critical for a team.

and how much they still have to prove. But at worst, it was a good draft and at best a great one.

But he sure seems to be our 2 down MLB by default.... Captain is a stretch.....But who knows.

Prior to his injury which should not hold him back....Was on his way to be our starter.....

My point was and is.....Reese does it again.....Giants should be favored in NFC.....We are already close

We had contributions from many of those players......but as far as starters go, that remains to be seen....

Apple and Shepard, still need to take that next step.....

Perkins, is not blessed with great speed, but he has the ability to make that first guy miss....not a big guy, so can he carry the load?

Thompson has to show he can stay on the field.....

Goodson and Adams will get their shot this season....
