Anyone ready for the draft to be over with? jesus

SicilianGMEN : 4/25/2017 11:57 am
the overanalyzation is just ridiculous at this point....mocks are purely pointless and a time waster....

The draft is ok and all but it'll be better come Sunday....

Free agency is much more exciting to me

Oh yeah..the Rhett Ellison and DJ Fluker signings really knocked my socks off.

Draft is very, very fun, if you do your research and know who the majority of the players are. It's less fun if you aren't prepared and haven't heard of guys drafted in the 2nd round.

The overanalysis and speculation can be a little much once you get inside the last couple weeks leading up to the draft, but no one puts a gun to your head to read it, either.

and the process leading up to it. I've never done a mock and don't really get up in arms one way or another with whoever the Giants pick, I just happen to be immensely interested in the draft in general.

I'm glad its here this week so the threads will stop, but i'll be tuning in Thursday and some of day 2 and 3 when I can.

If only everyone could be as cool as B... Oh wait you spend all your time on a message board.... Oooopppsss...

How about Nate Gerry in the 7th. Not getting talk about so he should be there. Hard hitting safety who is better in coverage than he gets credit for with 13 picks the last 3 years!

Why you want me to go look at film? so you can wait for me to post it here and have something to talk about? FINE!! Dang man here goes...

Tedric Thompson FS out of Colorado. Could make a nice 6th-7th rounder. He led all CBS with total pass breakups and picks combine. 7 picks to go with a under 30 completion percentage and under 40 QB rating.

Happy now!

Looking down on people
RAIN : 4/25/2017 12:48 pm : link
people enjoying analysis and playing armchair GM, is sad in itself. Post something interesting, and maybe it would take the site in a different direction. Some people are analytical by nature. Some people are not and like to hover on the veneer.

I enjoy some of your guys analysis.. but this place would be absolutely dead without draft analysis and conjecture. So the judgement, IMO, is misplaced. Personally, i'm not a huge mock draft person anymore, but at one point it was definitely fun for me. This year has actually been pretty light on the analysis.

IN the end ..Contributions are contributions, and you can always click somewhere else.

The more football talk, especially in the off season, the better for me. Love all the mocks, analysis and drama of who goes where and the anticipation of those new players helping the team. Love the Big Blue Kickoff podcast everyday - they do a great job of bringing in media/announcers from the big schools and get the inside scoop on potential draftees.

There are several points to be considered.
oldog : 4/25/2017 2:05 pm : link
First of all, someone, I think it was Plato or Heidigger, said, when you're tired of the draft, you're tired of life. You could look it up. Secondly, the draft is scheduled for 8:00 PM this Thursday, so it almost surely couldn't be over yet. A lot could happen by Thursday, with the current leadership, though the wall is not yet up. Another thing is that someone said, perhaps it wasn't Yogi, that often the anticipation can be more enjoyable than the reality. This is not always true though, for instance Wilson was great to anticipate, and did generate a few thrills, but the enjoyment was disappointingly short. No, on second thought, that proves the point. Thinking about picking Wilson was much better than what happened after we did. Last year, when the draftees got into playing, the results were very heartening, and their promise going forward is also generating a fair amount of optimism. There are negativities too. Eliott and Prescott to the Steers, 4th pick and 4th round, and their play, that relative glorious success, dimmed even Reese's amazing Beckham insight just a little bit. In contradistinction to the point of the post, there seem to be a substantial number of posters, who do enjoy the unfolding of the draft process, and who even have fond memories of past drafts. Look at all the posting on draft subjects over recent weeks. Some of the posts have been original, insightful and interesting. Last night, the NFL network, which similarly seems to find the draft process interesting, even showed a replay of last year's draft. But, when I really think profoundly about it, I do relate to the post. Yes, it does take one back to those last few painful days before Santa comes, how we all waited for the tinkle of those reindeer bells, and ached to know what we would find in our stockings.
It drags out too long

Would make a great GM, He always nails His picks.

I've always viewed the draft as a crap shoot. There are smarter people out there with more time than I have. I won't begrudge them making mocks. I like to read up on certain players after the draft. Having it spread over 4 days makes it less exciting and harder to follow it all as well.
Wait until the NFL decides to go with 1 round per night
mfsd : 4/25/2017 3:27 pm : link
each in different host cities, and stretches it out over 2 weeks

And ESPN still manages to cut to commercial whenever the Giants are drafting after round 1...

Yea, I hate overanalyzation
Glover : 4/25/2017 3:58 pm : link
worse than over-analysis. But no, we got 2 more days to hear about late signings, hopefully Blount, or not. And theres 2 more days to hear babout actual and alleged sexual assaults by these fine young players.
Thursday I will be at the crib, but Friday night and Saturday I will be at my homeboy's house, chillin', and enjoying the draft very much. Then I can start analyzing fantasy players.

I think we got spoiled by the Giants drafting in the top 12 the past three seasons. We're having trouble dealing with all the uncertainty that comes with having the 23rd pick.
RE: Do you think Jesus is a remote thrower?

Jesus wouldn't throw the remote, but Moses would put it right through the TV screen!
I am ready for it to be over! We have had 4,296 mocks, endless

trade up, trade down, stay put posts! Now we will be faced with 100's of why did we draft this guy instead of that guy posts. Then we will have the sign other teams cast offs posts. When does camp open?

msh : 4/26/2017 5:40 am : link
how they go will determine if they push to get eli another superbowl by finally getting the OL sorted and a difference maker at TE they have lacked since ballard went down in the superbowl

fells could have been that guy but was cruelly robbed by that mrsa bug that effectively ended his career since then they have relied on a few moments from donnell and tye and nothing from several years of robinson holding a roster spot, adams could be good showed a few flashes his rookie year

this team needs it's version of witten or reed to scare defences and open things up to ease the strangle hold teams are trying to put on obj and the other WR to break a TD and a consistant redzone/short yardage player that is risk to torch the opposing defence 3 possibles are njoku, engram or shaheen ,howard too but i dont think he makes it out the top 15-20 picks
