we were said to covet, Conklin and the LB Bears took, slip out of our
hands by the teams just ahead of us or those who trade up to get
ahead of us.
That's the bitch of Reese's mediocre drafting over the years, our
needs are so obvious that we do not draft from a position of strength,
and therefore not handicapped.

That happened with the Jets traded up for Revis when we took Aaron Ross and when Tampa traded up for Morris and we took Wilson. Always turns out bad for us.
Through the second round? It's possible, but I seriously doubt it. I think it's more likely that he's still a first round guy. He might slide a bit, but I think it's as likely to be because he's a difficult guy to project rather than the diluted urine.
It only takes one, and I have to imagine that some team is already in love with him and isn't necessarily scared off. And definitely not scared off twice.

Who's Morris?

U mean Martin I think. I'm happy w Apple. Really Think he will be a very good CB. Conklin would have transformed the OL. That was the guy that hurt. Floyd would have been a good fit too but as far as true need Conklin was a kick in the nuts.
WhTs Wild about Revis looking back is that he went 17. Wonder how so many teams passed on him
All that said, the Giants aren't going to be sitting there at #23 checking off who comes off ahead of them and then taking the best available remaining player. You can take it to the bank that they already know what they are going to be doing.
However, the Giants appear to have done a really good job of masking their intentions this year so its been hard to see anything but tea leaves when trying to read their tea leaves. My sense, though, is that they intend to take either the best OL available (and the sense I have is that Cam Robinson is #1 on their OL wish list followed by Bolles and then Ramczyk) OR they are going to take a guy off a very short list of guys they really like and are the answer to the question 'which player gets us closer to a super Bowl' rather than which guy fixes our biggest weakness.
The $64K question of course is which guys are on the short list. I would guess that list might might include Mahomes, Reddick, Jarrad Davis, and perhaps Njoku. There are also a couple of wild cards that could also be on their short list including DE Jordan Willis and S Obi Melinfonwu. And it they don'r get a DE in the first I would not be surprised to see them make a move in the second to get a DE.
Should be a fun weekend!
Should be a fun weekend.
My thoughts exactly.
The best pass rusher in the 2nd....I was hoping the Kanas kid....but doubt he makes it now.
in the 3rd a TE....several remaining....I was hoping Bucky or Engram.
figure a RB/LB/Corner and DT....in no particular order.
