NGT: draft chat, you think the Jets will ruin the 6th pick?

I'm very interested in what the jets will do at 6.. why do I care ?? Well I have a strong strong feeling they take a QB at 6 which could be an UTTER DISASTER FOR THAT franchise and set the team back far if he's a bust like 5-6 years unless they get ANOTHER TOP PICK next year and take a real talent which would be good but also tons of draft picks to get that pick lol.

Could also see them taking Fournette and having a virtual BUST on THAT team due to poor OL, QB, WR, TE, FB and coach, he will be Injured for sure on the Jets. Poor fit.

Outside of the Knicks who I love the Jets are def 2nd most dysfunctional, but not nearly like the Knicks are (thank god for Kp, but now he mad at the Knicks already at 21)

Anyway

IMO the Jets should take 1 of 2 players at 6 if available

1.) the safety Adams from Lsu. Complete stud. Would be the Revis of safety's for the Jets the next 6-10 years..

2.) Oj Howard. Safe pick, jets have needed a TE longer then the Giants even. Will translate into any future new offense or whatever, stud TE, jets need a SAFE pick here

They did pretty good last time they picked 6th

Yeah. He fell to 6 because he didn't have a drivers license at the time just because. No legal reasons tho. Lol he was top 3 lock going into that draft. Jets got lucky , just like they can with Adams if for some reason he slips just a little bit

Would rank as one of the worst decisions in franchise history. They are going to be awful no matter what...why not just wait until next year for that QB where the crop is much stronger?

Trade down for more picks if you can. If not...just keep bringing in top tier talent and I don't care what position they play. They need everything.

And I fully agree with everything you said. That's basically why I started the thread actually because I believe they just may take a QB at 6 and it will be such a HISTORICAL disaster for them, unless the guy at 6 this year actually becomes a stud

I hope every QB possible gets drafted before the Giants pick, with how little I think of this class, and if that takes the Jets making a move that will screw them over to take one, so be it.

Who knows if these QBs slide past the Jets and browns , then the Giants could end up being a trade partner for one of these QBs.. maybe

If I were the Jets, I would try to trade for #1 picks next year and get a top flight QB then.

I can't see anything dumber than the Giants taking a QB this year. Take one when Eli runs out of gas, no sooner.
