Setting up to be the most interesting 1st Round...

jlukes : 4/26/2017 12:18 pm
in recent memory.

Tons of rumors about teams trading up/down

No "sure thing" QBs

Lack of consensus of top prospect at virtually every position

Really going to fun to see things unfold over the next 36 hours
Agreed...

initially I poked fun at Jordan Ranaan for giving himself 10 stabs at our pick.

After further analysis, I see why he did that. This thing could follow so many paths, each pick having a butterfly affect on the next.

I've never seen a draft that could potentially

go in so many different directions.
and yet I have less interest

than any other draft I've watched. Same goes with gameday.

Less interested in offseason and games, still posts on message board...
Very unusual draft but
mrvax : 4/26/2017 12:41 pm : link
seems to me there will be a talented prospect at #23.
There will be talent had
GuzzaBlue : 4/26/2017 1:13 pm : link
at the back of the first worthy of top 10 picks, but with questions marks. Almost always happens, but not with this many players if I remember correctly.

Foster, Cook, McDowell, Conley, Mixon
Few blue chip prospects
JonC : 4/26/2017 1:14 pm : link
including few QBs, makes it tough to predict #23 especially compared to where NYG was picking in the last three drafts.

Yup. 12, 9, and 10, it's easy to get locked in on one or two guys. 23...there are way to many variables. I just hope that Reese & Co. make the right moves this year. This team is close to contending, and an infusion of young talent in the right spot(s) could put us over the top.
5-6 trades
PEEJ : 4/26/2017 1:24 pm : link
will cause all kinds of mania
If Cleveland goes QB with 1st
jvm52106 : 4/26/2017 2:07 pm : link
pick then suddenly things change. Teams that want a pass rusher may jump up to 2 to grab A&M stud Myles Garrett. BUT, it could also create a run on QB's...

Anything that makes OJ Howard drop is fine with me..
stay put......

and take the BPA.

It's rather easy.

it's Xmas Eve finally

Most relaxed I've been before the Draft since 1987

We're picking #23, and I can name 30 players I'd love to see in Blue without hesitation. Guys who could have a real impact on O or D. Same goes for #55.

This definitely feels like one of those years where when you look back, teams who picked in the 20's did as well or better than teams in the low teens.

I feel confident this year, which is just plain strange and weird and I don't really know how to handle it.
Ghost, I too think that this is a draft in which we can land at least
yatqb : 4/26/2017 6:40 pm : link
two players who will make immediate contributions.

It's also nice that we have fewer needs than usual.
