Trade Down ???

Spider56 : 4/26/2017 1:55 pm
I know JR doesn't like to do it, but given the wide ranging views on the 1st round, are there any good (realistic) trade down scenarios that might unfold? I'd like to see them add another pick or 2 ...especially if means grabbing Kyle Sloter in the later rounds.
Ya not alright Spider

I don't want to

but depending on how things shake out with QB's we could see a couple of teams want to move up in the 20's. I'd entertain it but wouldn't bother unless we get a late 2nd in return.
its very possible if both TE's and top OL's are off the board

If Cleveland didn't get a QB yet and then a QB they like is there at 23, we could get quite a haul in that scenario. UI would love that to happen.
I would

But he won't.
As long as it isn't out of the first round

having that 5th year option makes a big difference.

wouldn't hate a trade down, but as much as I've advocated that in the past, I think it's better this year to just stand pat at #23. I would move down if somebody offered us their #2.

I'd like to see Reese trade down on day three. Those picks rarely work out, so why not increase your already small odds by getting a few extra selections?
I'd rather trade up,

using the picks after the second round....
I'd trade down in the first

and trade up in the 2nd.
