say I've really watched him at all, but I honestly don't like that his top attribute that I hear when he is talked about is that he plays with a mean streak. Danny Watkins had a massive mean streak that helium-ed him into a pick just like this, but when all the sudden your not playing against guys 4-6 years younger than you, you don't looks so big and bad anymore.

Weighs only 290lbs. He will absolutely get no push.
If we take him it's to protect Eli's blind side, and to pull a bit to both sides. He's not gonna be a road grader, but that's OK with me if he can keep Eli clean.
and Robinson to be Guards, and because Ram has an injury past. Bolles will put on weight, is athletic, big, and mean. I like him, and a lot of scouts do too. I'm not sure I buy that his success was because of Asiata. Too many other people like the guy, they would have seen this too.
Let Bolles and Flowers battle it out for LT, the loser plays RT.
Again, the trend NOWADAYS is not to re-sign or be able to
re-sign your draft picks..If Bolles can step in right away, he will have finished his 5 seasons at age 29..
Given FA, that is fine with me..Years ago, that would have bothered me and it did (Aaron Ross) as I was looking ahead to a second contract. Second contracts with the same team (save for QBs) seems to be the exception, rather than the rule..
His age is no factor for me, other than the positive part of maturity
if Eli needs 4 first rounders on the OL to complete a pass, maybe its time to move on. Bolles is not projected help in the run game too much.
It's amazing, but draft status doesn't actually count in games.
There's no cease and desist on pressures allowed by Flowers and Fluker just because teams (not even the Giants in Fluker's case) took them earlier than the guys embarrassing them.

I just don't think that drafting Bolles fixes Flowers. Just more sunk cost.
what if Bolles is another Flowers? keep drafting OL?
I don't like Bolles at all. He's not a guy who will help next year. Keep dreaming if you think he can play year one as a T.
Plus he's older. He's a really terrible pick based on a lot of value elsewhere in the draft. A reach and forced pick due to perceived need. Hopefully some stupid team in front of us takes him.
in that Bolles is the only OL that the Giants are gonna take in RD1.
Out on Ramczyk and not as high on Cam or the interior guys.
Bolles a likely pick if he's there and Howard is gone. But Thrill suspects they'd take both Jarrad Davis (unpicked) and Adoree (#18 to Tenn) ahead of Garrett.

Thrill,
What is it about Bolles that they like? He just seems like he doesn't fit our mold. I keep hearing about LB was hopeful for a TE and I like Lamp, could live with Robinson but Bolles? Puke!!!

Above anything, he's put good work on film. All the questions about his age, upside, upper body strength, maturity are fair. On the field, he was an exceptional LT at Utah with top-notch movement skills.
The Giants process involves heavy scouting influence. Atop the draft, they will aggressively rule out players on account of character (Tunsil) and medical (Ramczyk). If Bolles is past all the tomfoolery that put him on the crooked path to Utah (scoring a 9 on the wonderlic doesn;t ease Thrilly's mind), then it's easy to see why the traits and athletic ability he showed on film amount to a 1st rd grade.
Can't explain why they seem down on Cam. Superficially he sure looks like the size/talent/youth/production/experience prospect. Might be a moot point anyway - a few reputable mockers have Cam going 16 to Baltimore, who lost their OT Wagner in free agency and Ozzie Newsome is an Alabama guy.

His top attribute is his athletic ability.
He weighs 297. He'll put on weight in the NFL just like almost all players do. Lane Johnson weighed 303. He's doing just fine for himself.

I just hate the thought of passing up likely elite defensive talent for a "need", but I've mentally prepared myself for them to reach for a tackle
- just like they did with pugh/flowers

If the board played out like Mayock says, I would go with David Njoku or Jarrad Davis
the best player available due higher grade, then address the OL in later rounds.
better pick then Bolles.
IDK... the age thing and playing only 1 year of D1 ball is really a problem for me.
Check out Tyron smith before his draft

Lane Johnson was a WAAAAAY better prospect than Bolles hence the reason he was drafted 4th overall.
The Danny Watkins comparison is actually a fair comparison.

Are you hearing any interest for the 1st rd RBs?
