He's a gunslinger from an "air raid" offense. No QB from that offense has ever succeeded in the NFL. None. Like all other QBs from that offense, he makes one, maybe two reads, before throwing. He doesn't execute three, five, or seven step drops. He bails on pockets before he should. He throws into coverage, and across the field because of his arm strength. His mechanics and footwork are terrible.
Taking him at #23 would be a complete waste. Trading up to get him would be insane. McAdoo is a second year coach. Is management really going to allow him to sacrifice a ton of draft picks for Mahomes?
3rd round QB? Come on man. The spread offenses haven't been around that long. Maybe 10-15 years and not nearly as many were ran as in the last 5 years. Here are some QBs that ran some form of spread in college
Derek Carr - starter
Marcus Mariotta - starter
Alex Smith - starter
Cam Newton - starter
Dak Prescott - starter
Sam Bradford - starter
Andy Dalton - starter
Colin Kaepernick started many games
RG3 - started many games before injuries hurt him
Ryan Tannehill - started many games
Nick Foles - started many games
Blake Bortles - started many games
Teddy Bridgewater - started many games before getting hurt
Jared Goff - started to finish the year last year.
There are more also, but who is going to go through them all. There are just as many pro style busts and spread busts.
This is just flat out wrong. If you are going to talk bad about a player at least use real negatives. This is literally the first line on his nfl.com draft profile
"Elite athletic ability with the sweetest feet at the tackle position in this draft."

True. But the most relevant words in that quote are the last three.
Gil Brandt on NFL Radio just pointed out that 9 OL taken in last year's draft started all 16 games. He also said that he expects that not a single OL from this draft would.

He's not impressed, and neither is he.
Pass, IMO
Since my last post, Brandt also said that he would not be surprised if the Giants take him. And he thinks it is possible that he could develop into LT, but not right away. Says we just have to wait and see.
ESPN reporter just said she spoke to Arians, who brought up Mahomes with effusive praise without her ever asking him to do so. Also said that Palmer doesn't practice on Wednesdays, which gives Mahomes more of a chance to learn the offense than he would have at other teams.

It's been pretty publicized that Arians has fawned over Mahomes throughout the draft process.
Is it me, or is this not going as the mocks predicted?
As for Engram he's a physical freak with incredible upside as a receiving threat from multiple formations. His length, 33.5" arms, 4.42 speed, sub 7 3-cone all add up to a guy that is a mismatch for LB's and most safeties. I think he'll also be a very good perimeter and space blocker. Not sure he'll ever be a 'plus' blocker in-line but he doesn't have to be if we utilize him properly.

Trade all our picks. Here, take them.

She gets paid by the Giants. This info doesn't help the Giants.....Unless they want that info out.
My only reasonable conclusion would be that she is pushing the idea so more QBs are selected prior to 23.
Replying to @MikeGarafolo
Think the Giants go Mahomes?
Mike Garafolo
If he's there, I do. Don't know that he's there.
Was wondering that too

She's generally useless, but she works for ESPN now (and somehow didn't get the ax the last couple days). Not the Giants.
Probably a team trying to get up for a defender.

I'm not , it shows absolute disrespect from a bunch of meaningless over opinionated dipshits who think they know better. Show some class

lol, i got it.

The script went out the window at Pick #2.
Exactly. It might be time to go up and get him
