Happy Draft day boys. Update, previous thread linked below includes comments from Dave Te, hitdog, JonC, and TLG about some of the things they have heard. People seemed to enjoy the last one, so I have updated with new info from the past 2 days. Seems like people are hearing some conflicting things.
With some much info going around, I thought I would organize some of the draft rumblings from our insiders and Raanan, who seems to have the best pulse on the team of any of the beats. Not sure if anyone else will find it useful, but it has been fun for me. Also, there is a lot of info over many threads, so please correct me if I am wrong or add anything I missed.
Let’s start with Raanan. His top ten likely to be the pick from last week
1. Davis (Dave Te says Davis sees himself as a 3-4 LB)
2. Bolles (Dave Te says his OG Asiata made him look better than he really is)
3. Cam (Dave Te likes him, but behind a few others in the first)
4. Cunningham (Dave Te says he if soft)
5. Harris
6. Howard
7. McCaffrey (hitdog has confirmed we like him)
8. Reddick
9. Taco
10. Watson (hitdog has confirmed we like him)
Raanan drafted Bolles in his ESPN mock draft. Infact most of the press seems to have us taking Bolles.
Raanan has consistently said we are not drafting Njoku at 23

Dave Te has provided us with a ton of info. I have tried my best to capture who he thinks the Giants like and what round he thinks they like him in. Note: I haven’t had a chance to listen to the latest podcast, so if there was info in there please add it in a comment below. I plan on listening sometime this afternoon.
1. Lamp, Watt, Bowser, Davis Webb, Mahomes, Cam * Dave seems to think Giants like Bolles even though he doesn’t *
2. Engram, Asiata, Shaheen, Jordan Willis, Rivers, Darkins, Kpassaglen, Dalvin Tomlinson
3. Walker, Hodge
4. Foreman, Golladay
5. Jordan or Jerod Evans
6. Grover Stewart
7. Adreaus Knape, Kyle Steiner
• hint, hint-if Baltimore takes Cam Robinson at #16 & the Giants do intend to take an OL guy, look for a possible deal with Tampa, as the Robinson selection by the Ravens could see a short run on OL guys before the Giants pick at #23
• Sadly, as much as I could get love on Lamp, the Giants;
1-do not consider him an option at LOT
2-know Miami & Denver want him & if Giants did, they would have to trade up. However, if Bolles (hate the guy) is there when Tampa comes up, look for a possible deal with Big Blue that would move them up 5 places

BBI insider/asshat extraordinaire hitdog has dropped a few hints at who the Giants like in no particular order
• McCaffrey, Peppers, Njoku (is not sure they would take him at 23)
• Watson and Trubisky we like but may not be focused on at 23 (I may have this wrong)
• Doesn’t see DL or DB as a likely option, maybe other position players that he hasn’t mentioned in threads thus far
• The feeling that we don’t like Engram is off base
• More support for Ramzyck then other OL at 23
• Not sure if Cook is viewed as a 1st rounder

JonC has heard they like Wormley, Bowser, potentially Taco and….baa boom…. Mahomes
Chatter picking up on McCaffrey
Told CB and OL unlikely…if a DE they really like is there, he's probably the pick ... but it's a lean crop, the hybrid OLBs included.
Based on what I'm hearing the past 24 hours, it might add to hoping Mahomes or McCaffrey or Corey Davis slips to them.
Unlikely to go LB that isn't an edge rusher

ThatLimerickGuy said he will get specific info on Thursday morning but this is what he has now:
1. Peppers urine thing- teams not looking at it as a big deal and he will still go top 20 easily.
2. Reuben Foster- the issue with him is much more than a diluted sample. He has an attitude issue that came to a head at the combine and his shoulder injury is making a lot of teams remove him off of their rd. 1 boards.
3. QB's will not go in the order that everyone thinks. Throw these 4 in a hat, Trubitsky, Watson, Mahomes and Webb and each team has them ranked differently. I specifically heard that there was one team that had Watson as a legit rd 1 prospect and another that had him as a day 3 guy. Arm strength is apparently a huge concern among the scouts with him and some doubt he can throw the whole route tree. It's possible that only Trubisky goes in the 1st and that Webb is the 2nd QB taken.

Milton would like to commit to a serious relationship with Cam Robinson

Poster Brandon Walsh (not the one from 90210?)
I know for a fact there is one very high ranking Giant official (not Jerry Reese) who wants him to be the pick but the rest of the front office is not on board.
If he's the pick, obviously dependent on who is there of course, it says a lot about this man's power in the front office.

Thrill Ride says Bolles, Davis, or Adoree
Previous thread - (
New Window )
In the last section who do they want to be the high pick?
Cam Robinson?
Sorry for the above jumbled mess.
Thanks Archer. Agreed Dave like Lamp over Cam, however Milton pointed me to a post that said Dave would be fine with Cam if others were gone.
All depends - if Lamp is there & they take Cam? I come to Rutherford and put Jerry Reese over my knee.
I would also take Reddick or Bowser over Cam, if they slide. I would need a coin toss on him & Jarrad Davis, but would grab Cam over Willis
Agree. I also agree that if he's there, the Giants won't take him.
Couldn't agree more. Pat Elflein is my second favorite line prospect.
Saints Dangling Mark Ingram
With the Peterson signing and four other veterans in the backfield, the Saints are trying to see if they can get anything in return for Mark Ingram. A few teams have offered a fourth round pick, but the Saints are trying to get a third rounder.
The question is - would you as Giants GM offer a third for the ball carrier, or rather see what falls out of the tree during the draft?

There are 3 names that are heavily attached to the Giants in the agent and coaching circles.
1. Zach Cunningham- Vandy LB
2. Taco Charlton- Michigan DE
3. Charles Harris- Missouri DE
Again. DON'T kill the messenger if I am wrong. I hesitate to post this stuff but I know a lot of you guys like to hear what the scuttlebutt is. The Giants could be getting great at smoke as last year there was heavy word that the Giants coveted Myles Jack in the 1st.

that may be incorrect--- bolles ahead- though i dont think its OL.
Engram an option in rd 1, Njoku liked, but not in rd 1
Although he was right that we weren't going Njoku at 23.
Although he was right that we weren't going Njoku at 23.
Not only that, but was wrong with also including his additional names listed.
Wow, talk about a swing and a miss!
