As I said yesterday, when you pick in the top 10 it becomes much easier to hone in on one or two players who you expect to be available when you pick and build a draft strategy around that. At 23, you need to expand your dart board a little bit.
That being said- my 2 sources are actually pretty much in line with each other, in what they told me.
There are 3 names that are heavily attached to the Giants in the agent and coaching circles.
1. Zach Cunningham- Vandy LB
2. Taco Charlton- Michigan DE
3. Charles Harris- Missouri DE
Again. DON'T kill the messenger if I am wrong. I hesitate to post this stuff but I know a lot of you guys like to hear what the scuttlebutt is. The Giants could be getting great at smoke as last year there was heavy word that the Giants coveted Myles Jack in the 1st.

rather than an edge guy
Its an interesting thought j, but I am worried Charlton is a little long for DT.
put me in the group that wouldnt mind Charlton. WTF cares if he cant run a 40 yard straight line very fast? The guy can change direction and he loses his blocker very quickly.
I am not a fan of Cunningham. Guy reminds me of Julian Peterson.
You aren't a fan of Cunningham because he reminds you of Julian Peterson who was a 5 time pro bowl and 1 time all pro player? Would we would be lucky to draft someone that good at 23.
I should have said a POOR MAN's Julian Peterson. But they absolutely play a very similar game: fairly light, cover linebackers who are good tacklers. But not pass rushers. And a 5 time "pro bowler" doesnt mean much to me other than the fans liked him a lot.
He had a 10 sack season, 7 sack season in his all pro being best LBs, and finished with over 50 meaning over 5 sacks per season average. They aren't the same player at all.
Peterson was not known as an edge rusher at all. That he had those stats is great, but he was known as a coverage linebacker. And he had 51.5 sacks over 11 years. Thats 4.5 sacks on avg. Not exactly you demon on the edge.
Lets see, both have similar scouting reports, both are 6'4" and btwn 230 and 235. Yea completely different. Only thing I left out was the "lite" at the end. The are VERY similar players.

Demon on the edge? I am sorry are you saying Peterson was a 4-3 DE? Do you expect Cunningham to be? Peterson was a 4-3 LB not a 3-4 pass rush artist LB. To have that many sacks as a 4-3 LB is very good. How many 4-3 LBs can you count that have that many? Peterson was never a sideline to sideline tackling LB. He was always a pass rushing LB. He had 25 sacks in 2 years at Michigan state including 15 his senior year coming out of college! he never had 100 tackles in college in either of his years there. Besides size where do you get the comparison?
Unlike that fraud Slade, who acts like the Pope when all he got "right" was saying the Giants had an offer out to Marshall
