Trade up for Ramcyck/Lamp/Cam? I wasn't on board with taking them in the first, but they'd be value in the second.

Would love the Wormley pick, but I'd expect you'd have to move up to get him also.

If Engram can block then I'm ok, but if he can't he's just another WR because Ellison needs to be in there.

We need to draft lineman (OT/OG/DT) now.

If you honestly have to ask "who sits" in today's NFL of sub packages and match ups depending on situation, then you you need to just realize that you have no idea what you're talking about and do some homework. I'm actually shocked that this post came from you. Good lord.

I posted this because when I think of a 1st Rd pick its someone who is in on every play. If he can block on the running plays well then I'm thrilled with the pick. However if he is only coming on in a package with some type of passing play, then he's a situational "package" guy. I just don't like taking a situational guy in Rd 1. Rd 3 or 4 sure. So I read that Sy says the guy can block well, if this is true then sit Ellison down and we will have a huge weapon. Lord knows our OL and running game needs the help.
Also, love he went to Ole Miss
Vanzetti : 4/27/2017 11:35 pm : link
Eli is very connected there: he is going to get the straight dope from the people in the program. And nobody knows a player better than the guys who see him every day in practice and hear about everything he does.
Wormley
CT Charlie : 4/27/2017 11:35 pm : link
please.
Nice Dan Rooney

Moment very classy by Harris and Bettis
I wanted TJ Watt

Anyone have a site with a summary of the trades and what the

Picks are?
also, love that Njoku was still on the board
Vanzetti : 4/27/2017 11:37 pm : link
that means this was the Giants guy, not a guy they settled for because he filled a need
Great
AcidTest : 4/27/2017 11:40 pm : link
moment for the Steelers. Very nice by the NFL, Harris, and Bettis.

Didn't want Watt. Too many injuries.

The Apple pick last season kind of debunks this. So does the Kiwanuka pick years ago. There's a precedent for them doing this.
John Lynch

is having a hell of a night. Solomon Thomas and Rueben Foster.
reuben

Froster.
Saints take Ramcyzk

.
A load of good players
old man : 4/27/2017 11:44 pm : link
for rd 2. Gmen should consider a move up for an OL or DL in the top 2-5 in this round; maybe TC will take our 55 and our 4th and 5th for the 35(maybe).
Agree with Acid about injuries
Vanzetti : 4/27/2017 11:44 pm : link
Eli has a 2-3 year window. Giants need guys who can contribute right away. Not a guy struggling to overcome injuries.
Breakdown

First round positional breakdown:
QB: 3
RB: 2
WR: 3
TE: 3
OL: 2
DL: 6
OLB: 2
ILB: 3
CB: 5
S: 3

RR is a great pick at 32.

if TC was still coach
SHO'NUFF : 4/27/2017 11:47 pm : link
Ramczyk is the pic at 23.
So do you trade up to get Cam Robinson?
Vanzetti : 4/27/2017 11:47 pm : link
Worked with Landon Collins. Probably cost, Giants second plus two thirds and a fourth
Njoku
stretch234 : 4/27/2017 11:48 pm : link
He is 10 lbs heavier now, but gained that weight before the combine. He played at Miami at 230-235 all season. He has yet to play any snaps at his current weight

i would rather have the guy who gave problems to the likes of AL, LSU, FL vs the ACC defenses
Seems like clockwork - every year, the draftniks expect
jcn56 : 4/28/2017 12:21 am : link
QBs to drop like bricks, and every year, it doesn't happen.

Just too much of a QB driven (and lacking) league.
The Bears trade is an absolute all time shocker

Cook
Nomad Crow on the Madison : 4/28/2017 5:45 am : link
He is a nice player, but he will be a problem child. Plus multiple shoulder surgeries. No thank you.
Emil
JonC : 4/28/2017 9:54 am : link
Not heard anything yet today, but his name hasn't come up before.

The problem with this line is that the Giants roster isn't stacked enough to afford taking a role player 23 overall. The OL is talent deficient. The LBs are questionable. We lost a starting DT and we don't have a bonafide 3rd pass rusher.

If Engram ends up being what the Giants say and hope he is then it's a good pick because he'll be an every down player. If he struggles blocking and has to come off or Shep comes off it devalues the pick.

Kiwanuka I'll give you, but that was a few years ago now. However Apple was a necessity with the new era of the NFL. All teams need three starting corners because they are in the nickel most of the time. Apple was on the field constantly, and in fact DRC ended up playing the slot.
