Not necessarily. They know they can't trade him, so get what they can. And Cleveland has a ton of cap room left, despite paying $17M for a second round pick.
but we never had a legit shot at home...RBs going a bit faster than some expected...hoping we go RB later at this point, supposed to be good depth and talent late, and don't want to spend a premium pick on a guy like Cook (not sure the Giants would either)...
There isn't a lot of guess work with Jamal Adams. Are you unfamiliar with him as a player? In a draft that is heavy with defensive back talent, he was expected to be a top 5 pick, and probably would have been if this draft didn't go off the rails weird.

Yes. I just wouldn't have taken a safety that high. Would've went with Lattimore. CB > S.
Mike Williams possibly per Rapport
Was that a guess or were you just giving us spoilers?
Cook perhaps?
You'd have better luck predicting every game in the NCAA tournament than this draft. Who knows what will happen next.
You think OJ Howard is Tony Gonzalez or Gronk? That's the only way I'd pick a TE at 6...
Not knocking wanting Howard. Both he and Adams are great talents but why would taking a safety at 6 be any worse than a TE?

I'd take him over a Safety in a second.

Howard is really, really good. I'd take him over a Safety, absolutely. Especially for a team that is rebuilding almost from scratch.
How far is Allen going to fall?
Philly fans hate the pick because they drooled over him
Don't sleep on RB Cook...they take character risks every year.
Scot McCloughan was the smart guy in that front office
extra picks might be thrown in

Bengals may grab him.

Agree. I want Howard.

Not surprising, Eric. Talk about a swiss army knife for the offense.

to get Watson, they have lost their minds.

Can't sign him.
That's a reach if true.

Bengals are going John Ross here.

I like Ross more than any of the other WRs in the draft and he was the only one close to worthy of top 10 (just due to his wheels)
That's a reach if true.
I agree.
