The last few years I lamented, whined, railed against knowing the picks ahead of the TV coverage. To no avail. It's here to stay, so I decided this year to not watch the TV coverage or listen to Sirius.
In its stead, I just went on the First round discussion page and you know what? It really rocks AND no flucking commercials!

And that's an excellent idea, Jim..The problem was that people were coming on the discussion thread complaining a lot (as I did last year). Seems like the perfect antidote for the angst
So did I, wasn't a big deal. Closed the iPad as soon as the Giants were on the clock

I did notice that the twitter feeds started coming up more as the night progressed. First 12 or so picks, TV was right there, then commercials, delays and I noticed that the twitterers started posting the picks 5 minutes before announced (wonder how that happens with live TV - who is spilling the beans earlier than the Commish?)

The problem is that all of the pomp and circumstance with the Commish and pictures and interviews with Deion slows things down. There were multiple times in the 2nd half of the draft last night that 2 picks were in and a 3rd team on the clock, while the TV coverage had to wait for the last announced pick to be done with his "moment" before Rog would announce the next pick. It's ridiculous.
Let’s be serious here are we talking about an issue of you hitting refresh on BBI for spoilers? If that is the case I feel very sorry for you and I mean that sincerely.

I've been watching almost every hour of every draft since 1979..I tried something new this year, in a social media world. I like it..I will continue to do so for the remainder of the draft. I may do something different this year..We don't need to be judged for trying something new.
Bottom line as long as the team is better at the end of the weekend that’s all that matters.
