Why He’s Here: 14.2 IP, 8 H, 0 R, 12 SO, 2 BB
Gonzalez has not allowed a run in 28.1 innings and has allowed just 15 hits and three walks while striking out 23. Consistent command was an issue for Gonzalez entering the season, but his two walks Wednesday were his first since his initial start on April 9. Gonzalez can touch 97 mph when he needs it and spins an above-average curveball.

Rosario showed some extra-base pop for the first time this week and played third base for the first time, sparking speculation about a big league callup. The moribund Mets, who are missing Yoenis Cespedes due to injury, could use his energy.
The blurb is stupid/uninformed. Third base for the first time keeps popping up (Rosenthal noted it and then back tracked) Rosario was ALWAYS scheduled to play 3b a bit this year. Sandy said as much back in December. Supposedly he and Cecchini would play their "second" positions once every 10-12 games. If anything the fact he's only seen time there once is surprising. Cecchini has 2 starts at SS, why isn't that a precursor? I'm not suggesting they won't call up Rosario, but the "he played 3B" stuff seems like a non-story.
Still love me some Keith Law (and a few others, Ben Badler for one) but these guys need to be "experts" on 30 teams and it's really not possible to do in my opinion.
Seems like a nice guy but I think Sickels blatantly steals others work/opinions.
It seems it has always been like that. Very lazy.
I'm still waiting for Dom Smith to start hitting for more power. Maybe I will wait forever!

It's not like Cabrera is some plus defender. Move him to 3B.

I'm glad to hear this. Even the Mets can't be dumb enough to take a purportedly plus defender at the premier defensive position on the field and move him to a spot where ideally you are looking for 25 HR power.

Teams do this often for young players breaking into the lineup. No one suggested the move would be permanent, but when you have Jose Reyes as your 3B is it really some major position mismatch to have Rosario come up and play there should Reyes get injured or the Mets want a change due to Reyes' poor performance?
I see no issue if it's the best option bringing Rosario up to play 3B (especially once he's past Super 2)

If he's a better SS than Cabrera, then the best thing for him and the team is for him to play SS. Cabrera is sure handed but his range is limited. He'd be a good fit at 3rd. Win/Win...

I have no problem with that either if it's "permanent", but if it's a stop-gap kind of thing, then it makes sense to leave Cabrera where he is.
Draft and hockey it is!
98 right over those fences too
Not sure why Reyes let the first ball go
I dont see him being good enough to close playoff games
Collins shouldnt have used Reed in the 8th
Our infield has no fucking range.
When Walker and Cab arent hitting, they are just hurting the team
