Depending on who you ask, the Giants liked Mahomes. We all know Eli is on the back 9. Any names worth considering which can be a developmental/maybe Eli replacement down the line?
assume Webb and Kizer will be gone very quickly tonight. I would pass on Peterman, Kayaa, and Dobbs.
I don't want to draft any QB, but Seth Russell from Baylor might be worth a late day three pick. He missed most of the last two seasons with injuries. Broken neck in 2015, and a gruesome dislocated ankle in 2016. He's apparently fully healed, or close to it. He met with the Giants. He's similar to Mahomes. Both come from a spread offense, have strong arms, and are mobile. He also has a nice touch. There are some decent highlights of him on Youtube.
With the new offensive weapons including Engram I expect a big year from Eli and while he may be on the "back nine" I expect a solid 3 to 4 years from him...

I have a feeling Eli may have been playing injured ... if not, he certainly has enough weapons now to show whether he truly is in decline or not. love the front office approach so far this offseason ... time to address OL/DL tonight.
Davis Webb
Nathan Peterman
Rounds 4-5:
Josh Dobbs
Jerod Evans
Round 7:
Alex Torgerson
Seth Russell
Kyle Sloter
But I doubt the Giants pick a QB before round 7.

He could be groomed to take Eli's place, but being picked in a later round, there would be no pressure on him to do so for a while.

River I think you're right. Which QB in the draft now has more upside than him? Unless thy are taking one in the 7th I say forget it.
The only way they can get a future franchise QB before Eli's final disastrous season is if they stumble over one like Tom Brady or Tony Romo.
That said, I would draft a late round QB every year for the next 3 years.
You were spot on.
