Several weeks ago, when discussing the quarterback class, I kept bringing up Joshua Dobbs as the wild card in the equation. When the Browns decided to trade #12 and then jump back into the first, only to use all three choices on non QBs, they were not going to go into the season with Oswieller (something is cooking with the Jets) & Cody Kessler, could they? With Kizer & Webb still available, both could be gone by the time the Browns pick, but lots of chatter in the industry is indicating that neither suits what Hue Jackson is looking for. Enter Josh Dobbs, the future "rocket scientist& gt;" Even though he played in a spread offense for the Vols, it is easy to see that has excellent field vision and presence. More than 60% of his completions came when he looked off a covered primary target to look up his other options. What impresses Jackson is the zip on his passes, as it is rare to see his receivers have to adjust or work back, as he's a master at hitting them in stride.
The reason I mention him here is, if you are looking for a potential Zak Prescott in this draft, Dobbs might be that answer. Eli's not getting any younger and anyone that believes Geno Smith is the answer, than they believe that Donald Trump does nothing but speak the truth. It's just not going to happen. He is very alert to backside pressure, excels on posts and screens and if the Browns are foolish to let him slide on draft day, hopefully the Giants will show interest if the Volunteer reaches them in the third round

Maybe Seth Russell late on day three.

Slight modification. I would be interested in Webb and Kizer in the third round, but they won't get that far.
To me though I would take Davis Webb. He has his issues obviously or he would be gone by now, but he is tall, big, strong, cannon for an arm, quick release, works harder than pretty much everyone. He is in at 5AM every morning and is the last one to leave along with Demetrius Robertson (Cal 5 star true FR who wants to be great). He is the ultimate leader and team player also. Guys love him and his character is very high. His problem is he isn't great at reading and switching off WRs. In the spread that isn't really what is asked of him, but he locks onto targets to much and forces to many throws with his rocket arm. He like Mahomes though forces so many throws because the Defense is not going to stop anyone and they feel they have to score on every drive. If he would of had one more year at Cal he would have easily been a first rounder and would of had a big year this year. He really improved as the year went on.

You were half right. BTW, great stuff from you this whole draft cycle. Very informative posts and I still remember you were one of the few who had the Giants taking Flowers
