Deashon Hall. Texas AM. Garrett's teammate. Up and coming DE. Classic Giants 4-3 DE.
He is so over rated on this site. This guy never makes plays. Don't get the love at all.
Sy's write up:
8 – Daeshon Hall – 6’6/260 – Texas A& M: 78
Summary: Four year contributor that made a full time position move from outside linebacker to defensive end in 2015. Hall still has some rawness to his game but the tools and ability cannot be overlooked. He has some of the best natural talent and overall upside in the entire class. His strength needs to catch up to his weight gain but when it does, every other trait is ready to go. Hall has uncanny bend-ability and straight line explosion, making him a nightmare for any blocker. His versatility as an inside-outside rusher could really get a defensive coordinator excited. Enormous upside.
*I’ve been back and forth on Hall a few times. Whenever I would scout Garrett, I kept noting that the guy on the other side of the line was quite the tools-rich prospect himself. They looked like two NFL DEs playing against college kids. Upon further review, I noticed that Hall lacked a physical presence when engaged with blockers. He didn’t get much push and struggled to disengage from quality players. I really saw this at the Senior Bowl. Re-watching some of his game tapes I noticed some of the same things. His talent and upside are high, but I wish I saw some more physical play from him. This is a guy NYG will have a high grade on.

Would the Giants actually go for Webb if available Â

I will put it this way.. i would draft Damonte again before Hall. He never shows up. Dont believe me go watch their games.
another thing to ignore your biggest need. I can believe he didn't go OL in round 2. JR just doesn't understand the value of a good o-line.
Yea, he's put a priority on grabbing a OL guy in high rounds but only when the need was so critical that we actually needed three upgrades on the line so we keep playing from behind as far as fixing the o-line. And at this rate it will never be fixed. It's already been shit for 4 years in a row!
We really need more than one upgrade on the line too.

He's on my list, but I like Perine, Mack and Hunt more. For someone so big, Foreman dances around too much for my taste. If he learned to be an in-between tackles runner, he could very good.
Off field stuff and fumbles is my guess
Also like Derek Rivers edge rusher.
Rivers would be great.

Conor McDermott - OT/UCLA
Will Holden - OT/OG - Vanderbilt
Dan Feeney - OG/Indiana
Isaac Asiata - OG/Utah
Dorian Johnson - OG/Pittsburgh
What about Garcia? Is he off the board?
I like Garcia but he has trouble keeping weight on.

I think he could've gone in the first round and no one would've batted an eye. Same for Jordan Willis. I liked Willis a lot more than Charles Harris.

Didn't stop Cook and Kamara is like Cook-lite.
Polian was on ESPN the other day and had Willis as his biggest surprise of the draft and said he should go at the end of the first round.
And a lot of people thought Kamara could go middle of the 2nd at the worst. So weird

True. Still, Kamara has no business being around at this point.
Are they trading Ingram? Makes no sense.

Maybe they cut ties with Ingram? Weird pick.
Saints needed a 3rd down back and they got a good one here
Maybe they cut ties with Ingram? Weird pick.
AP and Ingram are not threats as receivers out of the backfield
God I hope not

AP may be done. You dont pass on talent in the 3rd because of a 32 old RB and Ingram is probably only one year left if they dont trade him

Fair point, just seems like a crowded backfield. There were Ingram trade rumors so maybe they are just not very high on him.
Agreed
