Starters from the first and second rounds... What's not to like?
Who is engram starting over? OBJ? Marshall? Shep? He's not a traditional inline TE so he's not starting over Ellison. We'll have plays and packages for him but he won't be a starter.
Tomlinson will have plenty of competition in camp as well. Don't see him as an immediate upgrade over Bromley. We'll see.

Ellison isn't some traditional TE. He's been a FB. He's nothing more than a blocker.
Engram will be the starting "TE" that catches passes.
have no problem with the picks at all. Engram is the TE end of today's style game. Its a throwing game not a running game so he will be a huge miss match on the inside. DT was a huge need seeing we lost a starter at that position. QB lets face it is a need seeing Eli is getting up there in age. Know I wish there was a OT being picked soon. I just think we kind of used to pick more so for best player than we do now a days. The Giants are geared to make a huge run at the Superbowl and I think they should do everything they can in the draft and Free agency to fill in the couple depth issues/starters they can. Mostly a tackle and a RB like Blount.
RE: Engram is Reese's worst pick since David Wilson.
A playmaker we don't need and we don't even have enough balls to go around to OBJ, Shepard, Marshall, Engram and Vereen.
Runner, blocker, pass receiver.
Which is the one we needed the least?
Its these comments which bother me the most on BBI..
Giants played 1062 snaps on offense last year.
Will Tye played 682 of those snaps 64.12%...
think bout that for a second.. Will Tye played 65% of the Giants offensive snap counts..
Would you rather have Will Tye out there 65% of the time.. or Evan Engram out there 65% of the time??
WHy is it when Green Bay can trot our Jordy Nelson and Devante Adams. and Randall Cobb and Jared Cook and have Eddy Lacey AND Ty Montgomery we scream about their diversity on offense..
but when its the Giants.. its.. OH NO there arent enough football to go around..
Its like we dont understand that football is about creating mismatches and our biggest weakness last year was a LACK of scheme diversity.. we sucked on offense.. we couldnt move the ball. We had tons of three an outs.. We couldnt score TD's. We couldnt score in the red zone..
OH yeah.. and im going to trust the Giants on drafting a defensive tackle.. Griffin. Joseph. Hankins. Cofield. All Good DT picks by the Gmen
agree Blueblood we signed a blocking TE for short yardage this year. Today's game is 4 receivers and we need someone who can get it done in the middle. That is what Eli is really good at if he has someone with talent. I love the pick and also think the Giants got needed help at DT.

Not a forced need pick at all

There ya go. The GOAT has spoken. If Reese and Ross love it, I can learn to love it too.

You fool! Everybody's a reach if they weren't in my mock draft!!!

Yup, because our offense was so incredibly productive last year! A point-scoring juggernaut!
What good is a guy who's 6-3, runs a 4.42, and has ten-inch hands, anyway?

Klaatu, you are very funny here. I cannot believe some of the dimwit posts I've read here tonight. They know less about the NFL than my wife.
BTW: Thank you hitdog.
LOL. At 56 I can top you there!
