-LB depth
-CB depth
-DE depth
-OT competition or development guy (if anything left)
-OL depth if no help at OT available
Don't expect they'll spend much more at QB, RB, TE or DT, so probably the best value is to fill out D, possibly grab a WR if one they like. Feel free to disagree!

Think biggest remaining need is Kicker.
And it looks kkke if LB doesn't work out they can just keep JT Thomas
biggest problem with the OL is that you're not getting anyone at this point who can start, or probably even play well in spot, this year. You're at most getting a developmental OT.
We also need another LB, preferably one who can rush, and a CB, unless the Giants like Hunter and Deayon more than we think.
What happens if one or 2 of them goes down with injury? You need depth.
Will Holden supplies depth at 3+ spots right away.
Agree. I'm just saying that nobody should be excited about an OL pick because they believe that player is ready to start. They won't. Holden, Knappe, and Dieugot are possibilities.

I thought Flowers and Hart were supposed to be so bad a 5th round rookie couldn't be worse.
should look at McDermott here. Need to have a plan for 2018 if Flowers doesn't pan out.
Yeah but to be fair, I don't think you're going to find your future LT in round 5. But Johnson COULD be a franchise LT. He just needs to do a lot of work and actually commit to the game.
I would rather take a chance on McDermott. Roderick Johnson's lack of effort and desire are huge red flags for me. McDermott just needs time to get stronger.
you guys take Caleb Brantley here or is he totally off your board?
Off my board completely. At DT, Elijah Qualls I am surprised is still available
Qualls is very strong, but has short arms, and is only 6'1". He probably doesn't meet the size requirements the Giants have at the position. If they took another DT, I think it would be Rashaad Coward.

is the part of the draft where the scouts earn their money. But inevitably, the Giants (and other teams) take guys who are not household names and fans freak out.
yeah, half these guys, we end up bringing in as UDFA

Well, this draft is supposed to be deep in DE so why not get one even if we really don't need one. We could always use a back up DE to go along with our back up QB and to go along with our back up RB.

We don't need a DE? Did you watch what happened last year when JPP went down.

CB/FS Desmond King of Iowa
LB Anthony Walker Jr. of Northwestern
CB Damontae Kazee of San Diego State
I'm sure one of them will be there and any one of them will make me happy.
I really hope this guy is a Giant today.

King, Myrick, and Kazee at DB
Phillips at OLB and Blair Brown at ILB
Still plenty of talent left

Really hoping he's a Giant

Round 7 maybe
Yeah, they are.
Pretty clear a lot of teams don't think King translates well or provides value in the NFL.
Roderick Johnson would be a decent gamble. He has horrible game tape but he has the talent and measurables you look for in a LT.

thoughts on my guy Jerry Ugokwe? I feel he's the perfect day 3 / developmental "project" with rare attributes.
Really hoping he's a Giant
Round 7 maybe
yeah I was thinking 6th at the earliest ... day 3 it's all a roll of the dice anyway. he seems to have it all in theory, just needs a lot of work.
I know we took Tomlinson, but I think Qualls is an improvement over Bromley or Thomas
He was good... would love to add him
theres a reason they are annual offseason champs

LB Anthony Walker Jr. of Northwestern*
LT Roderick Johnson of Florida State
OL Aviante Collins had a fantastic Combine, but I can't say anything about him
He was selected by San Diego
He went to the Chargers
mocked him to the giants in my draft ... asiata/brian Allen would be ideal gets @ this price - Allen ideally
nevermind....
Chargers picked him.... guess they heard your drums

hoping for Brian Allen / Asiata
Walker Jr. was very productive and versatile but he needs to lose the weight he gained this past year.
Allen.
McDermott.
Asiata.
Myrick.
Evans.
Knappe.
Make it happen Jerry.

Who is the backup guard right now?
Wouldn't be opposed to it. He likely won't be there in the 6th. But doubt they do it.
Who is the backup guard right now?
You are. Time for your Walter Mitty fantasy. Suit up.
Who is the backup guard right now?
Jones?
I'd like Asiata also.
Asiata has fallen so far, you have to wonder if he'll go undrafted.
Off the board. My guess is Avery Moss is as well.
Off my board completely. At DT, Elijah Qualls I am surprised is still available
Why are you freaking out about trading up in the 5th round?

I'd go with Vincent Taylor
The RB I wanted at 140

I'm OK with Taylor.
CB Channing Stribling
CB Jeremy Clark
S Xavier Woods
LB Jordan Evans
LB Carroll Phillips
OG Isaac Asiata
OG Ben Braden
OT Conor McDermott
OT Justin Senior
OT Anreas Knappe
WR Bucky Hodges
WR Malachi Dupre
Love me some Sammo..👍
Yeah, fuck these day 3 and undrafted players. They never contribute. Never!
S Jadar Johnson and S Xavier Woods
CBs Jalen Myrick and Jeremy Cutrer
So true lol
