I hope the Giants add more RB talent

TC : 4/29/2017 6:22 pm
Khalfani Muhammad just went to the Titans. I like Tion Green, and that little kid Kade Harrington.

Not sold on Gallman. Not sold at all.
Gallman
area junc : 4/29/2017 6:24 pm : link
is a slasher. He'll fit in nicely on all those shotgun hand-offs we run.

I'd still sign Blount.

Perkins - Vereen - Blount - Gallman is a good group built to withstand the rigors of a 24 game season.
Fwiw, USA Today
Big Blue '56 : 4/29/2017 6:24 pm : link
rated him as the 93rd best on their top 150 list...,I greatly respect their football acumen, generally speaking..

I know nothing about him, but he SOUNDS like a nice complement to Perkins..Stay tuned

You're saying we're a Wild Card weekend team?
Gallman
Mr. Nickels : 4/29/2017 6:26 pm : link
went a round higher than Perkins in a deeper RB class for what it's worth
I only know what I see.
TC : 4/29/2017 6:27 pm : link
And I'm not impressed by what I've seen from Gallman. Best case, he's a journeyman. Not that quick, not that fast, not that elusive, not that powerful. Not a quick-twitch RB. No explosion.

Tion Green is a big back.
TC : 4/29/2017 6:31 pm : link
He's a grinder, but has real power and good vision. Kade Harrington is a poor man's Tarik Cohen.
Look for them to add Kade Harrington
The_Taxman : 4/29/2017 6:33 pm : link
He's like a B version of McCaffery. That being said, if we add him we may have the smallest RB corps in the league. Perkins, Gallman, Vereen and Harrington are all pretty small backs.
Gallman's not that small.
TC : 4/29/2017 6:36 pm : link
But is you comment that they'll add Harrington more than your and mine wishful thinking?

Eric from BBI : Admin : 4/29/2017 6:38 pm : link
in mind we signed the 49ers RB too.
I;m saying were a contender right now

The veterans are returning to form and the rookies are coming along faster than I thought, we got 3 or 4 all stars here
These are Green's highlights.

add a veteran
Steve in South Jersey : 4/29/2017 6:41 pm : link

And here's Harrington's.

I know a guy who trains Kade

It's between us, the Texans, and Chiefs.
damn, I wanted
SHO'NUFF : 4/29/2017 6:45 pm : link
Muhammed
I was really hoping for James Conner
Rico : 4/29/2017 6:47 pm : link
The Steelers grabbed him at the end of the 3rd round. His game seems just like Brandon Jacobs, so I'm disappointed he didn't fall to us. I wonder if we would have taken him in the 4th since we were thinking RB anyway?
Thanks, Taxman.
TC : 4/29/2017 6:50 pm : link
I hope he's tired of the Southwest! ;-)

Yeah, Muhammad would have been nice. Frankly, like him better than Gallman.
Smoke Mizzell is a spark plug

I'd love to pick him up as a UDFA
The Gallman pick
Natek212 : 4/29/2017 6:58 pm : link
Makes it look like the Blount ship has sailed, unfortunately.

Vereen, Perkins, Draughn, and now Gallman. Not much more room.

draugn is not a guarantee for the roster
Hope they get Anthony Wales as a UDFA

Kid from Western Kentucky
1) had 2 seasons of 1000+ yards
2) averaged 6.8 yds/carry
3) averaged 2.08 TDs/game in 2016
4) averaged 0.91 TDs/game career
5) averaged over 4 rushing plays of 10+ yards/game in 2016
6) made 83% of third down attempts
7) made 83% of 3rd and 1-3 to go
I think Draughn and Darkwa are
Tim in Eternal Blue : 4/29/2017 7:30 pm : link
Camp fodder.

With Blount I think we have a very solid stable of RBs... Without him, on paper, we are bottom third of the league at the RB position. IMO
Any word
jtfuoco : 4/29/2017 7:53 pm : link
yet on Kade Harrington yet he seems he would be fun to watch to see if he could make practice squad
Dare Ogunbowale
RAIN : 4/29/2017 8:05 pm : link
and Corey Clement from U.Wisconsin are still out there. There are options.

Perkins, Galman, Vereen, and Draughn are a start. Liked what I saw from PP.

Liked what I saw from Draughn too, with a poor team.

Saved a lot of money by not signing Blount
xman : 4/29/2017 8:07 pm : link
now we can sign a DB named Morris Claiborne

Tion Green to the Lions.

Our RB corps are done. We won't be picking up anybody else
Jimmy Googs : 4/30/2017 7:43 am : link
so get on board...
With Perkins in his second year and Gallman as a rookie
Ira : 4/30/2017 7:47 am : link
we're a little better than last season at rb. I'm not sure what Blount has left. Sometimes older running backs fall off quickly.

Giants signed Shaun Draughn from the 49'ers . Isn't he the same age as Blount? 30?
hey
mdthedream : 4/30/2017 9:59 am : link
but he didn't score 18 tds and 1200yds.
Blount might be nice
aquidneck : 4/30/2017 10:06 am : link
But if they do add talent they're going to have to eliminate some corresponding bodies. There are 8 guys currently on the roster.

Not sure the talent level available with the undrafted guys is any better than what we already have.
