I figured since neither are game 7s, pj's old thread wasn't fair to the new series about to start in each conference. Also lets us start fresh and not have to sort through some of the dreck from the other thread.
Let's keep our own teams and offseason thoughts out of this - there's already a NYR thread for that, and I'll refrain from Isles chatter here as well. But the IIHF tourney is also fair game to discuss on this thread since it overlaps with this round.
Preds-Ducks drop the puck tonight at 9pm in Anaheim; Sens-Pens tomorrow at 7pm in Yinzburgh.
Head says ANA-PIT final. Heart wants NSH-OTT final. Who ya got?
GM Bob Murray said Hampus Lindholm, Sami Vatanen have torn labrums and will need major surgery. Lindholm out 4-5 months, Vatanen "longer."
no, it doesn't, but it's still wrong. LOL.

Perhaps, but ANA still needs to figure out how they approach expansion. Vegas would be all too happy to snatch and stash one of those two guys if left unprotected.
Good luck, Andy!
Seen conflicting info on Hornqvist, last I saw, he's out.
Almost 10 minutes without a whistle.
incredible first half of the period.
Sens to the PP.

I'd like to see it, I'm a PK fan, but I doubt it.
Wow! What a response by Ottawa.
they're letting them play, other than the awful slash on the Pens in the first. I prefer letting them play than calling ticky tack stuff.
Sens seems like they're crushing on the face-offs.
It'll be interesting to watch Karlsson in the 3rd. Wonder how much gas he has in the tank. Regardless, this has been everything you could hope for in a Game 7.
Methot with a great hip check on Malkin after Malkin broke up a breakaway.

the penguins seem to me to be tiring more than the Sens. You notice it more in your own end than in the offensive zone. I saw quite a few times in the second period the pens looking at each other in their own end when there were loose pucks and the Sens won the battle because of the hesitation. That usually means to me you're getting tired.
Probably, with the ferocious forechecks by both teams it wouldn't shock me. I still see Karlsson skating out with the forwards, so he seems to have legs still. I just noticed it more with the Penguins, maybe because Schultz hasn't played in a while and Hainsey is a bottom pair D playing top pair minutes.
Phaneuf has struggled some.
great game so far, so hard to keep up this pace, and it's starting to show.
Andy, allow me to suggest a strong drink.
Crazy.
