Em. I particularly like that you included some analysis of the UDFAs. A lot of services overlook how critical they are for a successful draft. Well done.
I honestly believe TE Evan Engream will produce THIS year and be a borderline ALL-PRO at some point due to his speed. He just isn't straightline fast but he can move, cut and jiggle it. If he was 240 he'd have gone much higher. I can see him adding a few pounds of pure muscle this next off-season and his blocking will suffice in today's "smaller" NFL where quickness counts more than pure power sometimes.
I like our UDFA's as well. I'd rather keep a first year UDFA with upside and ST ability over a third or fourth year guy that is better due to experience RIGHT NOW but his upside is pretty much known (backup).
We need this draft class including UDFA's to produce this year. I thought last year's class was strong and if we can get another good class in this year we are on our way.
NOTE: we can really use FS D. Thompson so I hope he heals in time for camp and there are no more issues for him. We can live with FS Adams but I thought Thompson looked "special" when healthy.
