Giants hold opponent to 244 total yards yet lose by 27. Name that game?

SB against the Ravens?

Baltimore had a pick 6 and a kickoff return for sure. I'd imagine the total yards would be on the lower end, and that surely was an ass kicking.
My first thought

is Super Bowl XXXV, which I STILL say would have been a hugely different game without that bullshit defensive holding call on a DEFENSIVE TACKLE. Now you see it a little more but back then that call was NEVER made.
SB XXXV vs Ravens is correct

Third quarter had 3 non-offense TD's scored in 1 minute of clock time (INT return and successive KO returns). Giants were held to 154 total yards. Sad but true memory.

Minnesota was good guess given the 3 INT returns, but we ONLY lost by 24.

I actually wonder if any other historic SB had less total combined yards. I know Colts-Dallas and Miami-Redskins from early 70's were low scoring, but < 400 total combined yards is crazy low for post 2000.
Thanks for the memories

guy.....
Terry Collins
BobOnLI : 5/17/2017 10:57 am : link
played the second half with a separated left shoulder after fat Tony flopped on him. You think that might have had some effect on our production?
Hammer was called because the Ravens had bitched to the Refs before the game that he was prone to do it.
Kerry Collins was a disaster in that game well before any injury
Go Terps : 5/17/2017 11:35 am : link
That game could have been 12 quarters long and we wouldn't have scored on offense.
Sorry
BobOnLI : 5/17/2017 11:42 am : link
Kerry it is. Ravens did have a good D.
Fewest yards gained (both teams) in a Super Bowl

In case anyone was interested.

Giants/Ravens - more than 50 yds less than ANY other SB in history. Well at least I attended a historic event.

396 N.Y. Giants (152) vs. Baltimore (244), XXXV
452 Minnesota (119) vs. Pittsburgh (333), IX
481 Washington (228) vs. Miami (253), VII
Denver (156) vs. Dallas (325), XII

Giants single team total of 152 was only outdone by Minnesota (above) and New England (123) when steamrolled in the Bears SB XX route.
