Been driving my Jeep Liberty for 10 years, has 77K miles on it and stuff is starting to break here and there. Looking for some recs on a new car.
We have a Altima already, but want to add maybe a mid-size SUV like a Liberty.
My wife is thinking pre-owned Lexus SUV. Anyone have any good recs for a new car (used car?) I think I'll go foreign this time.

Mainly transmissions that fail prematurely.
Handling and the Quattro 4 wheel is awesome in weather.
They make a Q3 also little smaller but same features.
It's easy to get a used one coming off a low miles lease.

Such as?
* Front and rear windows falling down due to cheap brackets
* Key not releasing from ignition since shift does not register park
* Busted A/C compressor
* Busted sunroof motor
* Radio that turns volume max uncommanded
* Rear liftglass has Erectile Dysfunction

With my own money I go Honda/Nissan/Toyota
3 years ago I got Hyundai Tuscon, great on gas, can be upgraded for sportier packages.
build your own car at www.KBB.com, or www.Cars.com, then take your results to nearest dealership, that is what I did, they had what I wanted in stock.
I'm still in the area - let's get together this season.

Sounds good. I'll keep an eye out.
And the extended warranty whether you decide mileage or years. Well worth it.
Stick with Toyota and Honda
I liked the CX5 when I test drove it last year. My wife liked the CRV more so that's the route we went since it was her car, but I would have been happy with either.
I was almost about to go back to Mazda this weekend but saw the deal on the Hybrid Rav and went that route. I also really want a truck so I wanted to do business with a make/dealer that I can do business with on that front in a few years.
It still has a book value of around $4,000 at 15 years old, but I wouldn't sell it for that -- it's worth more to me to keep it going.
Absolutely love it, and while it isn't inexpensive, I think it's priced great relative to competitors with similar levels of quality/luxury/features.
IMO, the difference between the Toyota and the Lexus doesn't justify the price difference. You'll get as good a car with the RAV4, just minus some of the luxury items.
Yep. We bought our CX-9 as a 4 year old CPO with only 30K miles on it, and it was in pristine condition. You'd have to look really closely to find any indication it wasn't new, and it saved us about $12,000 compared to a similarly equipped brand new model.
