Good evening fellas, my wife and I are looking to take my 2 daughters (5& 3 years old) to Ocean City this August. Any recommendations on kid friendly hotels and attractions? Thanks!
Go to Rehoboth or Bethany in Delaware instead. Much nicer and more family friendly IMO. The further north you get in OC the better it is if you have to go. Also consider Fenwick Island. We did that for several years and would drive to the state park for the beach and services like bathrooms.

Ocean City is Kid Heaven. Dewey Beach? Really? Boring.....Been going to Ocean City for nearly 30 years. My daughter has spent nearly every summer there for a week at a time. Beautiful beaches, tons of kid friendly things to do. 3 mile boardwalk that blows away Rehobeth, tons of minigolf, Trimpers rides, Jolly Roger Amusement Park, movie theaters, etc. Rehobeth and Dewey and Fenwick are fine but cmon, for kids OC has 10 times more for the kids.
One of the cheesiest places I have ever been in my life. If you have kids, I can see it. But otherwise go north or south. The places off the Virginia and Carolina coast are so much better.

Stay in this area. You can always do the boardwalk in OC one night with the kids.

All those are reasons not to go. I hate being on a beach and looking behind me to seeing all the development. Stay someplace else and make the drive down to the OC boardwalk for an afternoon/evening.
If you are a young adult..then OC is great. But as a parent I hated it. I will say that I have friends who think OC is great...most of them grew up in Maryland and think everything MD is awesome. Kinda like people who grew up in the NYC area who think NYC is the greatest place on Earth. But that is a WHOLE other thread. :-)

Agreed. Look up the Sea Colony in Bethany Beach. They are condo and townhouse rentals with pool and beach access. Cleaner, nicer etc and then you can drive to Ocean City for night time attractions.
If heart is set on Ocean City, look up the Carousel on 118th street. Has a pool, arcade indoor ice skating rink.
This +1000. Also consider Dewey beach.

I will say...the one and only thing OC Maryland has going for it is WIDE beaches. The beaches are huge.
