An interesting admission, if true. I don't recall TB ever being in the concussion protocol/being listed on the injury list for one.
She's made it clear she wants him to retire so perhaps she's sending a message via the media, but if true, I can't imagine the NFL, with all their focus right now on head injuries, would be pleased.

Bundchen translates directly to Lysistrata?
Every QB gets his bell rung, and yeah that's a concussion today. You can't muzzle your wife, but dang. This is who I am, woman. I'm an NFL QB. You knew this. When I retire, I retire but until then let me be. Don't sabotage me.

Was thinking the same thing. I have no idea why she speaks for her husband, especially these kinds of details.
I'm quite certain that this marriage is going to end in divorce.
I'm quite certain that this marriage is going to end in divorce.
Huh? She married a football player, yes, but she can still be concerned for his well being. They have been married for like 7 or 8 years and since he's now accomplished just about everything, she probably does want him to retire and not risk injury.
This is nothing that out of the ordinary but because they are so annoying they make for an easy target.
First, if Tom Brady has unreported concussions the Pats are in violation of some very strictly enforced NFL rules. Not that I would be surprised.
Second, if Brady was having concussion symptoms during the week, especially as frequently as she suggest, it would be near impossible to hide at practice. In fact, it would be near impossible for him to even practice, and he reportedly practices very hard.
Third, if Brady was having regular concussions, he'd likely have some very visible symptoms, to include vomiting, sensitivity to light, and troubles with balance.
So I tend to think this is exaggerated quite a bit.

How would the converse have sounded, "I want Tom to continue playing as long as possible, risking long term health consequences, so he can continue to earn more money to further enhance our already incredible wealth."
If TB keeps playing and suffers the very predictable consequences to his health years later, do you think he might regret not retiring earlier? If so, shouldn't his wife be speaking up now, when she still has a chance to influence his decision?
Nope. Somehow I don't think Tom Brady would have any trouble finding another source of restaurant-quality punami.

Sure, she can be concerned. But unless he knew she'd put this out there and he all but OK'd it, well ... that shit would not fly for me, in that situation.

I agree. I was mainly responding to the divorce comment which is very strange to assume. They have all the money in the world, of course she would rather he didn't play.

Both Brady and Giselle have made mega-millions and they likely have enough money for generations of Bradys to not have to work another day in their lives.

Sure she should speak up. To him. Not to the media. That's what married couples do. You talk about things and make decisions. One of the two won't always be happy about the decision. But you don't go air it in public afterwards.

Being concerned for his well being is different than trying to stop him from doing what he loves. You will see.
Not sure why he still wants to stick around but I think it's great that he keeps on playing. Would love for Eli and Co. to hand him his third SB loss and have him go out on that note!

Agree, she has gone through a lot of seasons now. Her views 8 years ago may be different than now.
It must have been b/c of this...

And there we have it.
