with June cuts. You don't need a starter talent, you just need someone who can be serviceable. Anyone who could fill-in and not be a major weakness.

pieces together on D. Jamie Collins, Garrett, Peppers and now McCourty. Their D looks much much more talented than the start of last year.
He could have been a starter for Giants.

To get him through the regular season. And he still got hurt in the first playoff game. McCourty is light years better than anyone after the the top 3 and that contract could have been doable for the Giants. One of the top 3 goes down or FS stayed an issue yet would have been a great depth signing

that does sound too high for Giants for a #4 guy though.

Don't blame Reese as he was probably concentrating on putting together the deal together for Blount that wasn't rejected...
