Either way it is a huge blow for the Braves as he was having another MVP caliber season. Looks like Atlanta will be picking in the top 5 again next year.

No they weren't going to make the playoffs this year but they could have built momentum and brought up some of their top prospects to gain experience to make a run next year. Now they will wait until after Super two and in some cases September. As for the guys they may trade at the deadline are Jim Johnson, Arodys Vizcaino, Nick Markakis, Brandon Phillips, Jaime Garcia, and RA Dickey. If Matt Kemp keeps hitting like he has since he was traded to Atlanta then he might attract interest especially from AL teams who need a big bat to DH.
