This season is kicking ass. It got off to a weird start with Richard breaking off from the team and Dinesh being a dick. Tempo has really picked up last two episodes. Loved Gavin Belson the past two episodes. Loved Bachman picking up on the coup ... and his dialogue with Monica - she is smoking hot as always. The Mia resolution was hysterical. Jian Yang has been great as well.
Don't get me wrong, i still think it's awesome. But I've noticed that they have become very removed from their tech world/start up culture critique roots, particularly after it was mentioned on this board in a previous thread.
It's nice to see Jin Yiang get a little more in on the story. I wonder if they find a way to bring Big Head back around - he was, after all, almost a primary character during the first season.
Richard: Which is?
Gavin: Are you really not familiar with parabiosis?
Richard: Can't say that I am.
Gavin: Well, the science is actually pretty fascinating. Regular transfusions of the blood of a younger, physically fit donor can significantly retard the aging process. And Bryce is a picture of health. Just look at him. He looks like a Nazi propaganda poster.
Need more Monica and more Bachman, and less Gilfoyle. His schtick is great in small doses, too much of him gets predictable.
Characters like Gilfoyle, Dinesh, Big Head, Jared, Jian Yang, Gavin should have roles, but they should be lesser parts to Bachman, Richard, and Monica and to some extent they are.
But I don't feel like they lean on Bachman enough, but when they do the results are the shows funniest moments.
Id probably agree, with Guilfoyle a close second. Hes had some great scenes already this season. The "whoo!" in the garage and his line about taking out Richard's opposition were both hilarious.
