So, why DID Judas hang himself? In The Gospel According to Lindelof, he did it simply because his work was done, so he finally could.
If the characters who took The Big Step this week are truly gone, they will be missed. Then again, as one of them points out, "We're all gone." And in another two weeks, they all will be - one way or another. Storm's coming - this as far as I can take you.
And I still don't know what the hell it all means with two episodes to go.
I have no idea how this show is going to end. It appears Kevin Jr is going to go back to the land of the dead spirits though.
I think Kevin is more likely to get another trip to Bill Camp's karaoke bar and a lecture about the meaninglessness of everything.

The showrunners have been pretty clear about one thing from the beginning: the audience shouldn't expect explanations. Maybe they will throw us a curveball and serve up a conventional, tidy ending. I doubt it though. If that were the exit strategy, why layer on so much crazy in Season Three? Individual characters are finally coming to terms with the senselessness of the Departure - for better or worse - and finding their own forms of closure. I think that's all we're going to get.
I wonder why Michael called Laurie... I guess he's not a true believer in the Gospel of Kevin anymore. Aside from the 2 Kevins and Grace, who still is?
I didn't realize this season was only going to be 8 episodes. So, we're down to 2 left. Bittersweet.

I think Michael is supposed to be the Doubting Thomas.

I don't think Matt has necessarily given up what he believes about Kevin. John seems to still mostly buy into it as well.

Possible, though the show doesn't seem headed for an ending from Five People You Meet in Heaven, It's a Wonderful Life, or that forest scene near the end of Deathly Hallows where Harry's dead loved ones promise to stand by him while he sacrifices himself.

Oh, I don't think it is headed for that type of scenario, either- just that he may run into her or he may see her and chase after her, de-railing him from what he intends to do there.
BLASPHEMER!!!!
I agree with your sentiments. Still an excellent show but I haven't really connected with the idea that the seven-year anniversary would whip everyone into this kind of frenzy. It worked a little better when they were struggling to make it through their rather mundane lives and the Guilty Remnant was around to antagonize. But I'm sure these last two episodes will be fantastic.
I have enjoyed this season so far but I think we're definitely on a bit of a downward arc now.
Not expecting everything to be wrapped up into one neat little bow - just hoping for a strong ending.

But don't forget....he has died 2-3 times and returned, right? Clearly he is special in some regard, right?
Unfortunately, no. Laurie disappointed me the most. She of all people should be able to roll with the punches. What does taking her life solve? does she feel this will bring her peace? Smh

So I took it like it was Laurie's farewell to the world. She wanted to go out scuba diving. Was I wrong in thinking that?

She tried suicide before she joined the GR. They showed it at the start. This wasnt something that just popped in her head. Shes a very fucked up person just like everyone else.

But wasn't it Nora who gave Laurie the whole suicide by scuba scenario??
I hope they can do the series justice these last two weeks!

I know I'm probably in the minority but IMO It has gotten to the point where every character is so far out there it has lost some of the balance it once had. Interested to see what happens sure but it almost seems like it was an easy way out for them having them all go down such a similar path.
BLASPHEMER!!!!
INTERLOPER!!!!!
I feel like when things start coming to an end and characters start getting killed off people are almost never happy.
- S3E2 Don't Be Ridiculous
- S2E9 Ten Thirteen
- S1E3 Two Boats and a Helicopter
I'm biased, though: we went to middle school together.

...two episodes will be directed by the series' two best directors IMO...
I was hoping we'd see more work from Keith Gordon, who directed three episodes:
- S3E2 Don't Be Ridiculous
- S2E9 Ten Thirteen
- S1E3 Two Boats and a Helicopter

Those are good episodes! 10/13 & Two Boats are a couple of my favorites.

Those are some good episodes. I believe Two Boats is the first one where Matt is the center of the story. And I had it wrong, Mark Linn-Baker was in S3E2, directed by Keith Gordon. Mimi Leder directed the next one.
