Much too young obviously. RIP. God bless. Prayers to his family and friends.
What a player.
"A third-round pick out of the University of Miami, the monster in the middle of the Seahawks defensive line managed eight Pro Bowl honors, five All-Pro selections and a Defensive Player of the Year award (1992) during his 11-year career in Seattle."
The Seahawks traded the 8th and 10th overall picks to New England in order to move up to the third spot to get him. The Patriots then selected Chris Singleton and Ray Agnew with the 8th and 10th pick.
The same was speculated right after Selmon.it wasnt head injuries there and most likely it here IMO.
It's usually weight diabetes and other issues. I'm not trying to diminish head injuries but the tole on bodies Offensive and defensive linemen is insane. Most of those guys weight 250 pounds or more for over 2 to 3 decades. Into 4 decades of they make it that far. Also the propensity of hypertension and type 2 diabetes for people that size is a bigger issue the head injuries most often.
While the head injury issue is troubling the fact that many of these guys very often can never get their weight in line is a bigger issue.
