but I'm on the West Coast and you posted the results in the title. The show hadn't even started here. Some folks watch shows on the DVR. Spoilers alert etc. would be nice.

What exactly is going on here? On this day, I actually read on BBI a "Be courteous and make sure you acknowledge the spoilers" for... Dancing with the Stars? What the hell?

NFL changed the rules on celebrations... so, now we're all going to become pussfied DWTS fanboys. Can't wait. #ShadSquad

Sorry. I guess I didn't consider that people here watch DWTS. Didn't occur to me.
Apparently, it is. Anak about a year ago posted a spoiler without the spoiler alert, and Robbieballs was quick to lambast him. I attempted to mute the perceived injustice, but I was informed that people plan their lives around DVRs and the TV viewing habits. And because of the spoiler, their life was ruined?
First, I don't watch DWTS and don't give a crap about finding out Jennings won early; I should have been more clear.
My comment was more general in nature. For folks who don't live in the Eastern Time zone who watch a network TV show, I don't think putting the outcome in the title is necessary, especially before the show has even aired or finished in other time zones.
The same could apply in reverse if an NBA, NHL or MLB game ended very late Eastern time and those following the game had to go to bed and planned to watch the rest of the show after they recorded it the next morning. I'd feel bad if I spoiled the outcome by putting "Yanks Win In 19 Innings!" in the thread title.
Again, zero issue with the DWTS "spoiler", but pointing out that putting "sports / entertainment spoilers" in thread titles might not be the best idea.
For breaking news (e.g. the Manchester Bombing), that is entirely appropriate in an NFT thread title IMHO regardless of time of day.
on BBI where we'd be arguing about Dance Show spoilers. In defense to that, I get a lot of non-football info from this site, so I guess if I was in to Dancing I would have been disappointed.
Again, I completely agree a DWTS "spoiler" is a non-issue and I should have stated so originally.
More of a "West Coast Guy / non-Eastern Time Zone Guy" request for folks to ponder whether their thread title might be a spoiler for something that might actually matter (e.g. sporting event that someone might have DVR'd, season / series finale of a popular TV show).

I now have to go tell her who won!

... we're talking about Dancing With The Stars.
Does the fact someone knows Rashad wins it diminish the enjoyment of watching the dancing and the scoring and the inane judge commentary?
Just shaking my head. lol
