Here's the premise, for those of you who may not know (it's by the same folks who did the Serial podcast):
JOHN DESPISES HIS ALABAMA TOWN AND DECIDES TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. HE ASKS a reporter to investigate the son of a wealthy family who’s allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder. John is a fascinating character, full of contradictions. Amazing podcast.

That's how I imagined things would go. The OP is 3 episodes in so this won't give anything away really, but it kind of felt like the podcaster went to Alabama, found out he was being led on, didn't really bad a story and then the suicide happened and just made it about that

The main dude is pretty interesting and funny in odd ball John Waters character type of way, there are still some fascinating things revealed but none of those things really lead to a conclusion.
I'll say this: John B McLemore is an absolutely fascinating character and possesses a tremendous level of engineering brilliance and curiosity which stands out even more given his upbringing.

Anyone looking for a new podcast I recommend "Heavyweight," by the Gimlet Media team. Very good stuff if you're looking for stories on human interaction and resolving previous conflict.
