Hammel (1-5 6.38 era) vs Severino (2-2 3.64 era). 7:05pm start time.
Yanks had a late game collapse yesterday. We need to take this game.
In the rumor mill, I have read a few articles that speculate a possible Garret Cole reunion. Not sure that Pirates will part with Cole right now and I doubt we pony up the prospects to get him.
Castro + some farm pieces? I know there was great debate about this last week whether we should or not. They would probably want Torres (ughhh next) or Frazier (hell no). Anyway they could package Castro with some lesser farm pieces?
BTW not saying they should, just trying to value Pitts asking price.
I agree. BTW Orioles lost today.

No way in hell Castro is the centerpiece of any trade

Luis Severino's 97.1mph avg. fastball velo is the highest among qualified MLB starters this season
With Judge-Gardner-Ellsbury-Hicks currently filling the OF and Fowler waiting in the wings, Frazier is probably the most expendable. Future OF (2-3 years from now) of Rutherford-Fowler-Judge.
But Frazier would just be the starting point. Pitt would probably want Mateo + arms.
I'd stay the course and move Gardner and/or Ellsbury in the offseason.
He was 18. Either he was influenced by his parents or he changed his mind and went to college. I'm not going to hold it against him as if he was a grown man that went out of his way to screw the Yanks.

I don't think expendable is the word to describe Clint Frazier. He's close to major league ready and everyone thinks he's a sure thing. I want them to continue trying to get rid of veterans, not add them especially at the expense of top of the farm guys. Obviously Cole is young but nah, I'll pass.
This is silly at this point, move on. The Yankees surely have. Oppenheimer has maintained a good relationship with the family.

Be advised, forgiveness is not what I do best.
There are plenty of other pitchers out there.
Torres, Sanchez, Bird, Judge, Frazier, Rutherford.
Don't move any of them. You build a winner with position players in the game now.
Looks like tomorrow is going to be a washout, so tomorrow's game will have to be made up sometime later in the season
Only problem (a good one to have) is that Rutherford and Frazier both project to corner OF (and Judge already has RF locked up). So one of them will likely be moved for a P at some point.

Lol yeah I should know that about you at this point

Cashman is proud of that trade and the report is that he will have legendary bat speed. Exit velo comparable to Sanchez and Judge. You don't trade that. Pitchers will be shitting themselves facing that future line up. Gleyber,Sanchez,Judge,Frazier is the new core.

Not a problem in the American League.

Bellinger is a solid OFer playing 1B because that is where he is needed and he is athletic enough to do it.
You start with the bat and make it fit. If Frazier and Rutherford track to starter level on this team, we will find room. That will likely start with trading Ellsbury to a team in the Korean league.
So a Cole trade would probably cost at least 2 of Frazier, Rutherford, Sheffield plus more
Way too much IMO. Stay the course.

Agreed. Stay the course. Let the kids decide their own destiny.
July 4th or after the ASB.
Dustin Fowler is the CF of the future.....

Bellinger is actually a 1st baseman that is athletic enough to play the OF. 1st base is his future when AGone is gone

I predict there will be a prospect position player who will shine and is not among those 6
Ellsbury out of the game
Didi is part of the this teams future dynasty.
This is news? Have you never burned your ears before today?
