He should be at OTA's. That's the truth and the bottom line. Any serious football fans are aware the recent CBA has limited practice time and opportunities for these players to hone their craft. The product we see every September bears this out. He had months to set his schedule accordingly. Conclusion? Despite his lip service to the contrary football and winning championships isn't his priority. OBJ is his priority.

umm you know olivier vernon has not been there either right?

Meh, people have many priorities in life. Mine is my wife, my kid, and my job. Why can't Beckham be concerned about himself as well as winning? To suggest winning isn't a priority is pretty damn foolish.
...and the same thing applies to them. We should all start watching in Novemeber when the product on the field begins to resemble the pro football we used to see. Unfortunately with only 16 games every one of them is critical to our season unlike the NHL, MLB and the NBA where the first month is irrelevant.

So take your own advice and start watching in November. Problem solved, brosef.
held out every fucking year so he didnt have to go to TRAINING CAMP. Now, he is in the HOF, the ring of honor and walks on water.
Its a fucking business. The owners make TONS of money and have all of the control. Compared to other sports, NFL players have slim to no leverage. This is part of how it works.
yet - im supposed to get mad that our best player who is on his rookie deal is using OTAs for leverage? You want him there, put it in his next contract.
So funny how beloved Michael Strahan

LT, Banks, Strahan, Armstead all held out for reasons that were probably because they didn't want to be at training camp. Hell, Plax missed 75% of practices during a year and slept through team meetings.
That's just Giants. Star players throughout the league have missed OTA's or held out just to miss a portion of camp.

LMAO.
Its funny that whether game 1 or game 16 no one ever comments or questions that said player should have been at OTAs. Training camp yes but OTAs? Seriously? Too funny....
I want to know what time he's going to sleep each and every night because if it's any later than 10pm, I think we have a real problem child on our hands.
just saw on Facebook a post quoting Channel 24 news that he failed a drug test for coke and pot. Not saying this is true it hasn't hit Google yet - anyone hear anything on this.

On one level, his not being there might be a benefit to the WRs because virtually every WR & even TEs in camp, whether new or just young, can use the extra time on the field with Eli. Beckham will have enough time to get in sync when training camp starts. But, he's going to be looked at, if not already as a team leader and as a team leader, he should be demonstrating better commitment to the younger plays. What amplifies this to me, and I really blame Cruz more than Beckham for this, is the going to Florida before the playoff game last year. I would have liked to see him come in full commitment mode. I read he was supposed to come in today and didn't so who knows. At a minimum, he better show up when training camp starts and not get hurt.
Honestly, if we lost but Odell had 10 catches for 120 yards in the
playoff game, I wouldn't give two shits about him missing OTAs. It's just extremely disappointing that he doesn't work as hard as possible after that first playoff game. I was one of the loudest people mocking those that cared about the boat. But look at what happened in the playoffs. He just seems to be missing this killer instinct. I know he talks about being the greatest ever or whatever, but missing OTAs tells me that's not his #1 priority.
A great talent who. consistently brings negative attention
To himself. Ask Eli if he thinks Beckham should be there.
I did a lot of things in my career I wasn't required to do, and that others didn t do. Spin it anyway you want, it would have been better for him to be there.
David Carr who has known Eli for a decade said o Cowherd today. "You can see that Eli is frustrated by O Dell and his antics"
He is becoming increasingly difficult to root for.

Again, where are you pulling this from? I can argue his offseason and current workouts are more productive than what goes on at OTA's.

What do you think he's doing instead? Playing video games?
He's training and working his butt off.
You don't become the player he is if you don't work for it.
With his history of antics, immaturity, etc, he would have shown up and seen this as a chance to show he was all in. Disappointing, but not the end of the world.
after he showed up an hour and a half late to his appearance with those kids because he missed his flight the night before, after Coachella. Also didnt apologize, or stay for the time he agreed to stay. That was the worst thing he has done so far. That told me he's pretty much an asshole, but I done give a fuck as long as he plays the way he has for the past 3 years.

You are right. But, Strahan is a champion and he delivered in 2007 and went out on top. Rings matter. Playing your best in the biggest games matters.
While only one game, Beckham's playoff resume is partying in Florida the week of the game, the foolish shirtless distraction the day of the game, and playing like shit in the game.
You would think you would have to chain him down to keep him away from the start of the new season considering how the past one ended for him.
3 years in didn't have any rings. It wasn't until Strahan's 5th playoff appearance that they won the SB, and he was even criticized previously for being selfish, trying to derail Fassel, and for "dogging it" when it turned out he had an injury.
He also missed a few camps "holding out".
If rings matter, then you might want to wait until Odell is in his 15th year, because that's when Strahan got his ring.
Some of these fake narratives are annoying as fuck.

1. If Beckham stops producing that would be the time to nitpick on whether he's at OTAs, or if he's using the wrong brand of fucking toothpaste. As of now he continues to be an elite receiver.
2. If at any time in the future the Giants have a sub-par receiving corps, those of you bitching about Beckham have no business complaining about the lack of receivers.
3. Giants fans are fucking weird; for some reason their best players are often the most disliked by the fanbase.
Seems like he catches the ball with some sticky;
umm you know olivier vernon has not been there either right?
go look around the league and see hoe many star players are not at otas...

This is bordering on ridiculous.
They are grown men and should be treated as such.
If you do not put in the time and are not prepared come the season. You end up without a job.
OBJ has shown up all 3 seasons prepared and in great shape. He runs the right routes and has good chemistry with Eli.
Get nervous when the offseason videos are of him out of shape, eating at the buffet, and drunk all the time.
LMAO.

I heard he actually killed someone driving drunk.
Can anyone confirm?

-Sort of ran a red light. The light changed from yellow to red while his car was still in the intersection.
-Lied to a telemarketer when he claimed he didn't have time to discuss his current cable service right now.
-Used the last of the toilet paper without replacing the roll with a new one.
-Had a steak for lunch and put Heinz 57 on it.
-Recorded a video on his phone....vertically
