The show is funny enough all around and the characters so well written that the show will survive and continue to be excellent... but damn, Erlich will be missed on the show.
but while super funny, as an actor I'd get out of that part early if I could, rather than stay too long. You dont want people to confuse you with THAT character.

I think this is exactly what is going on here. He's a pretty talented guy and has a voice that just makes me want to start chuckling.
The show should still be great without him but hopefully they can work a new character in to keep things fresh.
Its not really funnny any more with the exception of Gilfoyle's dryness. Its too short and it just seems that Richard is a really horrible businessman.
I still watch, but the show takes so many turns, its like a band that has too many changes in their songs.

I agree. The show is in decline. Miller likely sees that from the inside and doesn't want to stay on a dying show bleeding out inferior episodes just to keep itself going.
Erlich in season 1 remains one of the funniest TV characters I've seen in the last 20 years.

Really? I think this season has been great and Bachman and Jared are probably my favorite characters.

Not sure i agree with this. In fact, i might feel the opposite. Gilfoyle doesn't seem as funny as in the past for some reason, imo. And Bachman is hilarious. Jared is a fucking lunatic and that's pretty funny to watch. I can definitely do without Dinesh.

Literally as I type this, I am watching Sundays ep. I am entertained by it more by the business angle of it than the comedic value is more what I was saying. For that to be the case, I think the show needs to move Pied Piper along a little bit. The Gavin Belsin thing for the last few eps is interesting. But again, not hearing Erlich call one of the people he is pitching to a "chode gargling fuck toilet" is why I dont find the show funny any more.
They should accept the Miller loss and fovus on the challenges of launching a platform and business rather than the dumbness of the other characters.

the end is near unless they replace him with a central character capable of carrying the show, unlike the current supporting actors.

I still love this video more than is healthy.
Giraffe Facts - ( New Window )
The real tragedy was the sudden loss of the actor who played Peter Gregory.

And yes, Jared's character is very underrated.
