what is keeping that woman's coat from falling off?
Did you include Kate Upton in the original?

This is the most heavily moderated board in the sports universe but Kate should get you a pass on any thread.

the hall monitors are very strict around here. except when they're not.

seriously, this is BBI, home of the irregular and uneven monitoring. there's no point in asking why. just accept it. or don't.
Without having seen the original

I'm guessing it was political in nature or turned that way, given the protests over one of the honorees.

Yeah, poor form by the organizers, sullying the good name of the Puerto Rican Day Parade.

Yeah, poor form by the organizers, sullying the good name of the Puerto Rican Day Parade.
Regardless of your political leanings or your opinions about the selection, you have to admit it simply wasn't a wise choice. They had to know there would be a lot of push back and ramifications.
Or, it was a stroke of genius

I have an Irish friend who swears the whole LGBT flap they had a few years back was an inside job just to deflect away from the complaints about the daytime drinking throughout Manhattan.

Interesting take.
I'm not complaining about the inclusion

But, what the Hell does Kate Upton have to do with the PR Day parade?

I was just taking a shot at the PRD parade, which I associate with the troubles there 15-20 years ago.

I grew up on the east side, going to school north of 86th street but living south of there. 86th was where the parade turned and ended.

It was the only day of the year that my mother would give me specific instructions about getting home, going with my brothers etc. Because it was such a shit show.

I remember it well too. My mom still tells me to this day not to walk through Central Park during the PR Parade.
