This site has gone completely down the tubes over the last couple of years. All I see clogging up my news feed is pages my friends like or statues of people I am not even friends with. Is their a option to get rid of that?? For example if my brother likes the dunkin donut page it shows up on my news feed that he liked it, so dumb anyone else notice this. It's a shame the site use to be good. The same with twitter a lot of garbage on that site to.
Yeah

It was way better when it was all Farmville, Mafia Wars, and other garbage instead.

You have to hit the ^ On the page and click hide all from that page I do this every time iam on facebook but their is really no way of it stopping because if you have a lot of friends it just won't go away that's why I trimmed my friends list to 20 people

Somewhat Similar Question

I have a friend who is posting political stuff I don't want to see. It is often from the same website or two.

I haven't been able to find a way to stop seeing them without "unfriending" him.

You can "unfollow" someone without unfriending them. You won't see anything they post, no way to filter out just political stuff, regrettably. I did this with about 20 friends on both sides of the aisle since about October

Social Fixer. The posts on politics back around the election is what brought me to seek it out. Plus the ads were getting unbearable. Social Fixer fixes all that.

Social Fixer will mute all political posts without unfollowing a friend.

You should be able to block the specific places he's posting from, by clicking the down arrow in the top right corner of the the post and selecting hide all from whatever site it is he's reposting. If it's just a few places, should be easy enough to take care of it, and other posts of his will continue to come through.
I follow the mock accounts of several prominent politicians

Ideally, I would like to block posts from just these websites, as he does post some non-political stuff that I might still want to see.

I thought unfollow would stop all posts from him?
Unfollow the links.

If you click on that down arrow, it will give you multiple options. You could unfollow your friend completely, or you could choose just to not see posts from whoever it is that's he's re-posting. So if it's a fox news post, it should give you the an option to not see anything more from fox news.
crap...was going for

how much value can it possibly serve? My wife and I deactivated a couple of years ago and I don't miss a single thing.

Was when you could install apps to your page. I added so many that my friends browsers would crash if they visited my profile. Good times.

I deleted my account a little less than two years ago, and I have had the same experience. I can't think of a reason I would ever sign up again.
So I doubt there's a remedy for this since this is such a basic gripe

Does anyone know if there's any way to block people from viewing my likes or comments on other people's posts that I myself don't share? I should be able to comment on a page I follow without everyone seeing it. If I share it, it's fair game. I've really cut down on political posts, but I refuse to not comment or like posts from political pages.
