Arsenal had a bad Premiership season by their standards. They finished 5th in the league table. The FA Cup Final is a knockout tournament (think the NCAA basketball tournament, but it's soccer, not hoops)

No it's nothing like that. They finished 5th place. They miss out on the Champions League next year. The FA cup doesn't really mean much. It certainly shouldn't save his job. I don't know why Arsenal fans even want him back.

and Chelsea likely benefitted from it in the premier league season as they hardly had to rotate all season. But guys like Moses, Luiz, Hazard, just looked like they were weren't right today, perhaps nursing injuries

Full marks to Arsenal though. They played well and deserved the result

Look who he lost to this season. Mourinho, Wenger, Klopp, Pochettino. No European play either. I'm very curious how he does in year 2 with European play, and the need to use a rotated squad, something he didn't need to do this season.

Ill be interested to see how not playing in Champion League impacts them - a few less games might help.
