Doc is the only guy crazy enough to give up half decent assets for an aging, overpriced player in a futile attempt to win now. And Carmelo would probably waive his NTC to go to LA on a team that has zero chance at a championship but should compete a bit.

I could see Dallas getting involved just because of Cuban but I can't imagine Melo wanting to go there.

Boston will have zero interest in Carmelo unless they strike out both with Hayward and on every other trade front. Even then, I can't imagine them giving up anything more than something like Crowder. If they even gave him up. You're better off just keeping Crowder and his nice contract than going for it next year with Carmelo. He doesn't put you over the top.
