This doesn't really matter of course. Given the contract situation, part of me almost doesn't want Beckham in the top 10. Fuels more "chatter" about "pay the man".
Who are players not yet named that will be in the top 20?
I know most of this board hates all other QBs, but if he wasn't at least top 20 this year, the list would look terrible and be seen as even more folly than usual in a general perspective.
They lost me when they said there were 95 better players than Snacks.

You're right he does deserve a top raking coming off a career year and MVP. Thing is if you look at his career it's not much different than Eli's (except the 2 SB MVPs) and Eli won't be on the list at all. And Eli has generally been poorly ranked in this kind of list while Ryan is touted endlessly.
Ryan hasn't been endlessly touted by this player list.
If he's made it more than Eli, perhaps he's just been a player other players respect more (however you want to assign value to that) over the time frame they've been doing this.

With Martin and Frederick already listed, and Smith a lock for the top 20, it's worth asking whether EE really belongs so high. He's very good, but a lot of backs would rack up crazy yards behind that line.
Can't wait to see this place blow up when Dak makes the top 20
I wonder if Jack Conklin will be in the top 20. Hard for a rookie lineman on a mediocre team to build a reputation that fast, but he was All-Pro, and I don't think his name showed up in #21-100.
if Dak hasn't been listed, there's no chance in hell he's missing the list entirely.
Good point. It's just that, with Cam Newton at #44, I have a hard time imagining guys who actually play the game putting the "Poor Racist Man's Cam Newton" in the top 20 - no matter how high his passer rating was.
So is brees. And I like both players a lot. If Eli isn't even in these stupid lists why the hell is brees placed on an immortal like pedestal?? I hate going this route but if Eli played in that dome with that system he'd put up nearly the same stat line. He's not even that far off and oh yeah two Super Bowls. And his career isn't over yet. Brees will retire before Eli. Eli is gonna come damn close to brees tds and yards when all is said n done. Both similar winning % and Eli's will only go up while brees goes down. Similar int totals. There isn't one single metric that places brees in a vastly different category from Eli. Not one.

Berry was named Im pretty sure.
Its a really dumb show. With even dumber input from dumb people.
Derek Carr: #11
David Johnson #12
Eric Berry: #13
Dak Prescott: #14
Aaron Donald: #15
Drew Brees: #16
A.J. Green: #17
Tyron Smith: #18
Luke Kuechly: #20
(We overlooked Patrick Peterson, who came in at #19.)
Aaron Rodgers: TBD
Tom Brady: TBD
Matt Ryan: TBD
Von Miller: TBD
Khalil Mack: TBD
Odell Beckham: TBD
Julio Jones: TBD
Antonio Brown: TBD
Ezekiel Elliott: TBD
Le'Veon Bell: TBD
Alex Mack and Jack Conklin: TBD (They obviously won't make it, though they should have easily been in the top #100.)
Rodgers, Brady, Ryan, Miller, Mack, Beckham, Jones, Brown, Elliott and Bell look like a plausible Top 10. Eight offensive players and two edge rushers - a sign of the times.
That video reinforced the downside of Dak's game...
what Dallas (and the NYG) have identified as his weakness is throwing from the pocket. The two plays highlighted by Cousins are both with him rolling from the pocket. Then Elliot states that his strength is his mobility. It seems clear that he is accurate and throws a nice ball when on the run. More teams need to keep him contained in the pocket this year (they will) and he will need to improve his accuracy and decision-making in the pocket to stay this high after his sophomore season. He's working on it. We'll see.
Dak Prescott is the fourteenth best player in football. Sure.
Worth noting that Prescott didn't make Pete Prisco's top 100 at all.
Before we start fellating Prisco, keep in mind that he snubbed Damon Harrison altogether. Five Giants did make his list: Beckham and four defenders.
22 Odell Beckham
25 Landon Collins
72 Janoris Jenkins
83 Olivier Vernon
85 Jason Pierre-Paul
Rodgers-Cromartie got honorable mention.
In general, Prisco's list is more forgiving of players who were hurt in 2016, like Watt (#4) and Gronkowski (#10)
But that's too sane. Let's stick with a buzz-generating hodgepodge.

Yeah. I'm thinking the next day he's a better QB than ELi will be his first.
He just mostly deservedly won MVP.

continues to be a terribly overrated player.
