Manzeil is attempting a comeback and worked out with the same trainer and group of players as OBJ for a little while

According to some in the media (and some of our dumber posters here) OBJ should have walked off the field and stopped training the moment Manziel arrived, in order to avoid any appearance of impropriety

That being said I am not advocating anything stupid like trading him, he's our diva (and a great player) and we are stuck with him. But he's got some ground to make up with giant fans after the disappointing end to last season. Cue the attack dogs...

I'm not saying it's wrong or bad, just pointing out the wildly contrasting media presence of two guys whose careers, at least for the moment are connected and somewhat dependent on each other. I just find it interesting. I also readily admit that I'm far, far out of touch with social media and its intersection with modern celebrity. That I find incredibly uninteresting and pretty annoying. What can I say, I'm gonna make a great middle aged white guy in a few years.

social media is simply not my thing. That said i'm living in it from a professional standpoint so I see the money to be made for influencers which is insane.

thing as bad attention (few exceptions) in this era than just catering to social media -- it's catering to anything that keeps the spotlight on him, all avenues. Good or bad, fairly or unfairly, if they're writing or speaking on him, he wins and his star and brand grows.

He doesn't want the outlets on these cleats to actually shhhhh!; he wants to stir them up into covering him even more.

Sure everyone appreciates the shut up and work "lunch pail" type of player. But just because Odell likes the shine doesn't mean he's a problem child.

He'll always be him and some will appreciate it and some will roll their eyes. I, for one, don't give a flying rats ass whether he talks or not, as long as he catches footballs and scores touchdowns.

And when your son or daughter is dancing around the yard wearing his jersey, it's because the Giants allow him to play this game because he's earned the right to do so....And he happens to be one of the best at it.

I never made any assertion that he's above criticism.

Beckham does deserve some of the heat he gets. But I'm of the opinion that sports isn't just sports anymore, and he's taking full advantage of that.

or is a bad teammate which is the common go to for people that hate when athlete's do anything other than live their sport 24/7. Its a pretty ridiculous ask in all honesty.
