June 15, 2017 New York Giants Mini-Camp Report - ( New Window )
I have to say,

Davis Webb is one smart and mature guy. He seems to really get it and seems to love Football. I truly hope he develops into the Franchise QB. I know you can only take so much from OTAs, but he seems to be on the right track. His interview is a must watch.

Also Flowers seems like he's maturing as well. He was much more comfortable in his interview also. Good to see he's working hard.

Agreed. Some here don't seem to think the way a QB handles himself matters, but it does.... with his teammates, press, etc.
McAdoo looks like Gavin Belson.

This is an ideal situation for a rookie QB like Webb...

...who really has a long way to go in terms of footwork, mechanics, and experience in a west coast offense. I don't think it's ideal for any rookie QB to be a starter regardless of what system they played in college. And that's as true for the rookies who have good first year as it is for those who struggle. There is a long history of young QBs who had splashy rookie seasons only to follow it up with lousy careers (from Rick Mirer to RG3). Meanwhile you have two of the best in our era, Rodgers and Rivers, who spent their first couple seasons as backups and excelled once they were handed the starting job.

Patience is a virtue when it comes to a young QB and that patience applies not just to putting up with mistakes he makes behind center, but the patience to leave him on the bench until he is most ready.
Here's what Bob McGinn had to say about Rodgers...

He was a very poor player here for his first two summers and regular-season practices. Fortunately for him, and he knows that down deep, he didn’t have to play early. His delivery was a mess, bad body language, he didn’t know how to deal with teammates. He learned so much from Brett Favre on how to in some ways be one of the guys and relate, and he became much more of a leader. He was really poor and how many great players have ever had a start like that? Not that many. A lot of scouts look at that exhibition tape those first two years and he was a little bit better the third year, but not to any degree, and then he just really developed. He lost a lot of close games in ’08, but by ’09 he was playing great and by 2010 he was maybe the best in the business.
It's always better for a QB's development to sit for a year or two. Even Brady got to sit for a year, before leading the Pats to a Super Bowl in year two of his career.
William Forsythe?

Remember Brady only played because Bledsoe got hurt.

sat for a year and was a top 5 QB in football until Kimo Von Oehlhoffen headbutted his knee.
