He was a fourth-round pick out of Clemson in 2016 and has the inside track to start at middle linebacker for the Giants this season. Goodson showed well in the spring, especially with his ability to move well for his size (245 pounds). He also did a solid job of making the defensive calls. The Giants are even taking a look at him as a potential three-down linebacker, something they didn't have from that position last season. -- Jordan Raanan
It was time to cut ties. He has had other opportunities and he didn't get resigned. He went to the Dolphins and didnt get resigned. Went to the Seahawks and didnt get resigned. If Dallas's best under the radar guy is Damontre Moore I like ours better.
1.5 sacks in the last 2 seasons and only active for a handful of games. He is still only 25 so maybe he can improve but he is a guy that will probably screw up again.
For them that will be frustrating to say the least.
He didn't in two other stops after big blue. This is more an indication of the sad state of the Dallas d-line than an endorsement of him becoming great. At best, he is servicable.
Kid could always run. OTA flag football plays to his strengths.
The interesting part of the article to me, is the fact that each of our East rival featured players are featured because of team weakness at their position. Makes me happy.
They are in big trouble. The other NFC East players at least have a reasonable story or are typical developing players. Moore is a what? A five time loser. That's the best they've got! Good.

Maybe...but he sucked for us. I'm glad be cut bait when we did.
Agree. He has done nothing and proven to be a bonehead everywhere he has been. Just because he is doing well during the OTAs when the pads are off, doesn't mean anything.
that the article mentions George Selvie as someone to live up to. I met Justin Pugh at a charity event a few years ago. It was a day or two after the Giants signed Selvie so I mentioned him in our conversation. Pugh was very candid in telling me that he thought Selvie was the worst defensive end in the NFC East.

Oh no doubt. But it will still piss me off if he puts in work for them but wasted our third round pick.

Or, maybe he'll be the same guy he was with the Giants.
Unfortunately, Jones won't name him a team leader when he's suspended.
