I was reminded of it when DennyDenville pointed out on another thread that Aaron Judge and Rob Refsnyder are best friends. For those unfamiliar with the play (which was adapted from the novel by Mark Harris and later turned into a movie starring Robert DeNiro and Michael Moriarity), it's about a catcher and pitcher who are road roommates and the friendship they forge under bittersweet circumstances.

| Harris's narrator Henry "Author" Wiggen, a star pitcher, tells the story of a baseball season with the New York Mammoths, a fictional team based on the New York Giants, as noted in the author's book Diamond: The Baseball Writings of Mark Harris.
