Correction: 2011 Eli> 2016 Eli..We don't know about 2017 yet. BBI knows, but a bunch of us don't..Yet

That is true, but then you would have to say that of all comparisons
Eli is key to answering that question....

2011 Eli is better
Also...

Jacobs, for the season, was pretty much already done. If Vareen gives us anything he will have contributed more then Jacobs did that year.

Post season he was key at times. So that could still break his way.
Without decent OL play, even the best skill players

don't stand a chance. Let's hope this group is up to the task. I think Perkins will surprise and surpass AB's 2011.
Again, physically sound, always mentally in-tune

and OBJ, SS, Marshall, Engram, Vereen and Perkins as his current options/toys, I'll withhold any 2011 to 2017 comparison for now..

AND, perhaps our D will be much better during most of the season(unlike 2011), so that he won't be in position to have all those comebacks he 'enjoyed' during 2011..

Finally, it can be argued that Brady is better now than he was in 2011..Not saying he is, but possible..
2017 Defense > 2011 Defense

I think it's fair to say that 30 year old Eli is likely to be better than 36 year old Eli. 36 year old Eli could produce very good results, but those would also be at least partly a result of the supporting cast.

It's so difficult to isolate one player's performance in football, obviously.
Perkins

if he stays healthy, will be more of a "bell cow" than either Bradshaw and Jacobs, and will be better for this offense than a combination, say Blount and Perk would have been. I know so many Giants fans romanticize the days of Jacobs, and fullbacks and all, but I would rather have a predominantly one back offense (a-la Marshall Faulk in St. Louis, or Edgerrin James in Indy), where said back is more versatile and can stay on the field in all situations and not tip the defense off as to the play call. Not saying Perk is the next Marshall Faulk, but he showed me he can be a very good RB, and I think he takes the next step this season.

Not sure about Perkins be Bradshaw. Brandshaw imo was a stud. His feet (injuries) failed him. Could barely practice his last couple of years here IIRC. Perkins looks to be abetter as a pass catcher but Bradshaw year one showed a lot more as a runner. This year will tell us a lot. OL was light years better in 2011. That makes QB and RB a lot harder to judge hear vs year IMO.
