I thought the US Open was supposed to be the toughest test in golf? Geez, these players are dominating this course. The FOX coverage is not good either.
Occasionaly they should show the player rankings right up to the cut-off and even beyond.
It was mid morning when I found out that Rory, Jordan, ... didn't make the cut.
As far as this course goes, length just doesn't affect these guys. They all hit it a mile. The fairways are too wide and the course is soft. I still think it's a fun course to watch an open on.
Shinnecock will be a different story next year. You won't see anything like these scores this year.

They will overreach with Shinnecock next year and make it impossible.

Yep. They did the last time it was there too. They had the greens dried out to the point where Michelson said it was like putting in a parking lot.
on firm conditions and wind impacting the scores big time here. So far the conditions have been soft and no wind, tomorrow there should be a lot of wind so we will see how it impacts scoring

376 yards, that has him easily driving most par 4's on public courses with his driver, golf at that level is just incredible, along with the short game they have....amazing to watch.
It's weird I went to the driving range a few weeks ago first time in
Come on man. The guy is obviously good at what he does. Aren't you at least a little bit interested in hearing his stories of blue whale fishing in Lake Ontario?
So I guess driving the ball over 350 yards is a rare thing?

Jordan made the cut.
Didn't even use a club just an extra rental they had (driver)
I missed so many balls and hit so many poorly
But I cranked out quite a few drives well over 350 yards. Ball literally disappeared..
Was able to see the ones I hit 200-250 but the ones I really killed I couldn't see but apparently they went 350+
Maybe I should give this golf thing more effort

You drove the ball "well over" 350? And with a rental driver no less? And from the sounds of your post, you don't really golf?
Lol.
Lonely is the troll.

If I keep nailing them maybe I'll get an m2 club and drive the ball 750 yards!
