Unrestricted Free Agent
6"7 point guard 32 years old at the start of the upcoming season
2 years 30 million. Would you sign him for the Knicks
Would much rather have him than trading for Rubio or resigning Rose
Knicks could draft Monk and put him at the 2
I always liked Livingston.

It was a shame what happened to him early in his career. That was one of the worst knee injuries I have ever seen. It is nice to see him be able to carve out a nice career for himself after that. That looked like a career ender to me.

But, to answer your question, why would he want to come to the Knicks? We would have to severely overpay to even be considered a possibility for him.

Good point Robbie. But he's got two rings and I just gave you 30 million reasons why he would want to come
This is why being a Knicks fan is depressing

We're talking about Shaun Livingston and could be discussing how important keeping Ron Baker is - Ron Baker for crying out loud. Meanwhile the Celtics and the 76ers are going to do a deal that puts them several more years ahead of the Knicks. And there are other teams ready to pull even further ahead too. Sad.
The Knicks need baskets
RetroJint : 6/17/2017 9:47 pm : link
& I disagree with Baker's comments in the Post. The Knicks won 31 games . They would have had 10 additional wins had they knocked down shots at the end of games . Games that they should have won . Carmelo missed shots in four of those games . I'm a fan of his , but they were makeable . He's gone . Therefore all that more reason -get baskets.
If Melo loves ny keep him

Relegate him to his next phase as a 6th man.

He will dominate the role, extend his career and resign with us as the 6th man.

It's one thing being the 6th man for Cleveland. But this Knicks team? No chance. Who's starting over him? Lance Thomas? Ndour?

Once Phil fails to find a trade he will agree to, Melos getting a bought out. Book it

How everyone is clamoring over the sixers who continue to finish believe the Knicks every year. And really have no idea what they have with all that youth talent. How long do they keep trotting okafer out there? Can embiids body even last a full NBA season??? What does Simmons even play? If fultz is the guy does that take away from Simmons as a play maker??? Can Simmons even shoot? All great problems to have but also a ton of uncertainty that these pieces even fit

Totally agree with this. Everyone was drooling over the Timberwolves until they saw Kris Dunn struggle mightily in the NBA and this is even more speculation given Embiid can't stay healthy and the other two haven't stepped on the court.
